Great location! But the hotel is too old. The air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off. I could hear the alarm and other noise from other rooms and hallway. Breakfast area is too small and the buffet extremely basic.

The property is ideally located for access to tourist activities around Old Port. Staff at front desk and elsewhere friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was large and well equipped. Shower and bed very good. Breakfast buffet has good options. The only negative is the hotel is completely utilitarian. It gets the job done but is totally lacking in charm/ambiance. Needs renovation.

Room smelled like a sewer. Asked front desk to have it cleaned or re-assigned 3 times before they responded with action: gave us new sheets to replace ourselves. Bed sheets had stains and hair on them. The table surfaces were dusty. Put down the cellphone on one table, and when picked up, had a clear sticky substance on the back of the phone. Avoid at all costs.

Parking was absolutely awful with the staff being very rude about not having any spaces and us having to find a different location to park. I also had a very hard time getting our room clean, I asked 3 times each day to get it cleaned and it never happened.

Great part of Old Montreal. The staff was great. The lobby was nice and modern. The first room we were given room 125 smelled of strong old smoke with old carpeting. They moved us to another room which still smelled like smoke but not as bad as the first room. Still had old carpeting, dated curtains with no sun blocking shades. I didn’t bother asking to be moved to another room… I’ve been a happy customer of many Marriott hotels but I have to be honest, I was disappointed with this one. One of the main reasons I booked this was because of the Marriott brand associated with it. I’m not sure if Springhill is “a lesser” of a product offering under the Marriott brand but I wouldn’t book a Springhill Suite again and wouldn’t recommend this one.

Beware Extra Guest Charges - Sneaky, Sneaky...
Nothing quite like finding a charge for an extra person on your hotel bill - which is what happened to us after booking a room with 2 doubles and a pullout sofa which was promoted as sleeping 6 - without reference to additional guest charges. Here's the thing though.. we only had 2 adults and a teen, but Marriot Spring Hill Suites Old Montreal still saw fit to add an extra $20 bucks to our bill. We didn't complain about the lack of blankets for the pullout couch, weak coffee, scarcity of towels, out of order swimming pool, lack of handsoap - or the terrible view of a laneway outside our window. Nope. But... it was extremely disappointing to find the sneaky extra guest charges on our bill. Really.. .why would Marriot or Hotels.com promote a room sleeps 6 if they are going to charge extra when only half that number (3) stays in the room? Would we recommend staying here again? Not really. The most remarkable thing about our stay wasn't the quality of the room, or service at the front desk. No.. the most exceptional thing we experienced at the SpringHill Suites Marriot in Old Montreal was the sly addition of an extra fee for what really amounts to normal use of the hotel room. Come to think of it... No, we do not recommend you stay at this Hotel. It's Montreal, there are lots of great hotels to stay in.

Hotel en excelente ubicacion. Antes del covid tenia un servicio de primera. Ahora lamentablemente buscare una opcion distinta para las fechas del festival de jazz.
