"The front desk staff warmly welcomed me upon arrival, which I appreciated. However, when I asked questions regarding the CA$200 deposit for the property, they suddenly became impolite and brushed off my concerns. They even forgot to give me my hotel key card. I understand that many tourists probably ask the same questions, but it is still their responsibility to respond politely. Fortunately, when I checked out, a different staff member assisted me. He was friendly and kind enough to answer my questions.
The location is convenient, as it is close to 2 subway stations. I was able to walk to major spots such as Chinatown, the Basilica, Old Port, Eaton Shopping Mall, etc.
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, although it was not as fast as I had hoped.
The room I stayed in was spacious, with a fair-sized TV, adequate lighting, a large sofa, and a fridge. The bed was comfortable for the night. However, the room did not include a kettle, microwave, safety box, or ice machine. The bedsheets and towels looked clean, which was a relief. Unfortunately, there is no housekeeping service on weekdays. The amenities include two hand soap bars and one soap dispenser for hair/conditioner/body wash. The walls are not soundproof, so you can hear construction outside the hotel.
In the end, you get what you pay for, so don’t expect too much. While the location is convenient and the price is budget-friendly, the rooms are basic and somewhat outdated. "
"Internet was great. The hotel was walkable to both shopping and the Bell Centre. Also a short Uber or medium walk to lots of sights and activities. Having a kitchenette was a great plus as well. We will stay here again. "
"A solid 3 star, imo. Service was very good. Room was clean enough and good enough, but appears the refurbishment was a few years ago. Of the 2 rooms, one bathroom door didn't close for example. Breakfast was unexpectedly quite good.
It was very close to the subway making it a great location to stay while visiting downtown for a game or concert...which was our need. In the end, for the price, i would go back."
"The hotel was very busy but the room was very quiet and clean. I was in town for a conference and the hotel was a a nice 20 minutes away on foot.
I took the train to Montreal and the hotel is across the street from Central Station. The hotel is connected underground to the Metro (subway) and the underground city.
"
"Everything was mostly OK with the hotel itself. But the shuttle running only ever 30 minutes, despite being 2 minutes away from the terminal, is ridiculous. Especially since it gets full and not everyone can get onboard. This is basic stuff for an airport hotel and absolutely shameful that they can’t get this down."
"Cold rooms, had to change my room twice yet still cold, noisy air-conditioning, gym is not well equipped and cold. The swimming pool is horrendous.
Not enough staff.
This will be my last visit to any of this hotel chain."
"Really appreciated having the free breakfast and access tea and coffee all day
The room was looking a little tired
The bathroom tub had some damage to it and probably needs to be fixed
The shower spout was coming off the wall, so maybe someone can have a look at that
But overall great location great value"
