Cosy hotel. Lovely spacious room which was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Shower was huge and loads of hot water. We had evening meal and breakfast, both delicious and perfectly cooked.

We had a very pleasant stay in large comfortable room which was spotlessly clean. We had our evening meal in the dining room and both the service and food were excellent.

Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!

From the friendly warm welcome to the comfortable bed and beautiful room the Maypole Inn was a treasure I'm glad I booked.
The room was clean and quiet with so many thoughtful little extras not to mention the fabulous breakfast. I'd definitely stay again

Clean and quirky if a little musty smelling room. We slept well and were given a warm welcome. Breakfast was good and my boiled eggs cooked to perfection. Tempered a bit by an unhappy waitress at lunch on Monday. Maybe short staffed? Great food and overall a wonderful place to stay

Lovely village pub, well used by locals.
Great beer, good menu and special board.
Room nicely modernised in an old property.

I did worry a little bit as I check in at the bar in a pub, but it turned out to be for no good reason. The staff was very friendly, and the room is one of the nicest ones I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was excellent, and dinner too. The lamb shank in particular was delicious! I really enjoyed my stay here!

Really lovely hotel, beautifully furnished and equipped and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately for me it was quiz night on the night I stayed which was loud and distracting as I was trying to work also breakfast was only served from 8.30am which was when I had to leave although Gill was very accommodating and provided me with cereal, orange juice and coffee. Bar staff are fabulous and the food really delicious, I just wish that I had been given a quieter room.

We arrived on a busy Friday night so had a drink in the pub and were invited to do a pub quiz which was good fun. The room was beautiful. Low ceilings but a good amount of space to move about. Very clean and also quiet so we had a good sleep. Breakfast served 08:30-09:30 which was perfect for us. Cooked breakfast or cereal. Basics but done well. Ideal really. The staff are all very friendly too and treated us both well.

Everyone there was really friendly and helpful. We arrived late after our Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the kitchen was closed. They still helped us with preparing a lovely pie! Bedroom was really nice. Bed very comfy. I really recommend!

We notified Maypole Inn of our expected arrival time and Staff kindly kept the kitchen open for us as we were late arriving - Excellent evening meal and generous portions.
Additionally, we were allowed to use the kitchen freezer overnight for our cool box.
Rooms and bathroom were very clean and tidy although there was a patch of damp/dirt in the corner of the celling in the main room.
Breakfast was satisfactory and included a choice of cereals and a limited cooked menu.
Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout.
Overall, I would recommend the Maypole Inn.

Check in wasn't great. No clear indication of where to check in. Had to give details over a busy bar. The room was ok but with a funny smell. The previous guests bellongings in the wardrobe was a bit off putting.

Maypole Inn sits on the village green. Room was large, clean and good facilities. Plenty of lamps but were all unplugged. If wanted to use had to unplug something else. Beer ok good selection. Large car park to rear.
Check in could have gone better very slow. Booked for one night but they said two after long discussion and being kept waiting agreed it was one night. The food at night could be better. If you order steak you expect a griddled tomato not one that is placed on plate all mush. Secondly the mushrooms served were tinned and not fresh field mushrooms. Breakfast was ok.In summary ok for overnight stay.
