If you come to Butte aux Cailles on a hot summer’s day, there’s a swimming pool at Place Paul Verlaine that is rather inexpensive and is known to be quite refreshing. A more unique feature of Place Paul Verlaine is that you can fill your aluminium water bottle with the freshest water from its natural spring.
Within the neighbourhood are various streets of interest that feature art-nouveau homes and other architectural focal points, such as La Petite Alsace, which is a traditional villa on Rue Daviel with an interior courtyard that is often open to the public.
