Nice, peaceful room.
On a bus route. Just bit further out of town from Edinburgh Zoo. Friendly welcome at the door as we arrived. Nice clean quiet room with double bed & single bed, & en-suite with shower & bath. Nice views out over garden. Peaceful night. Very helpful hosts. Hopefully we will be back.

This was a good hotel outside of the Edinburgh city center, giving it more of a less-crowded and noisy feel. There is a bus stop just down the street, along with a Lidl and McDonald's as well as several cafes and sit-down restaurants. The rooms are decorated beautifully in a Victorian style. You have to park on a side street nearby, so depending on how many other cars are parked there (it's a residential neighborhood) it's a bit of a trek up/downhill. Hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. There is an option to pay for a hot breakfast in the mornings. The only thing I was not a fan of here was the strong perfume/incense smell inside our room that kind of hit the nostrils.

The location was conveniently close to the airport. However my room was tiny, and it was right under the roof. There was no air conditioning or fan and only the only window (in the roof) could not be kept open. The room wasn't aerated by other means either and quickly adopted a hot and humid climate. I didn't sleep well at all. The other thing I didn't like was the bathroom with a shower that was served by a tiny on-demand heater that provided a very minimal flow of hot water and no hot water at all at the vanity.

Room was nice and clean and spacious. Not many amenities (coffee fixins). An easy bus ride to town and airport. Staff was kind and helpful when asked specific questions but not very visible otherwise.

Superb customer service and great comfort
The staff was incredibly welcoming and lovely and the hotel was really well maintained. For a room that accomodated 4 adults, it was quite spacious and the beds were comfortable. It's only a 20 min bus ride into the city centre and it's well connected with public transport.

Over priced and basic.
A very basic room with basic bathroom. No window to open, the curtains over the balcony doors didnt block any light, so the room was light by 5:30am. The plug didnt even fit the sink! Breakfast had to be booked the day before, even an omlette required 24hrs notice! Completely over priced - I was charged £449 for a twin room for 2 nights excluding breakfast - I would not have expected to pay more than £60 a night for this.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay; friendly staff, central location. Only problem were noisy water/central heating pipes through the night?! Kept us awake in Room 26!

Nice Wee Hotel on Outskirts of Edinburgh
Stayed here one night as was in Edinburgh to see a friend's band play. Wasn't in the hotel much but the room was nicer than expected for the price, well worth the money. I didn't manage to get a good sleep but I think that's down to my own vicissitudes. Location well connected to city centre through the buses. Room was quiet enough as was facing the back garden. Receptionist was nice too. Would probably stay again yeah.
