Beautiful conversion of an old military facility to a hotel. Great pool area. Spacious, clean, confortable room. Nature surrounds with walking trails. Food OK, but could be improved to match the remainder of the experience. Fun to ride ferry to the island.

Lacking in hospitality
After we walked up a hill to the Inn with our kids and all our stuff, we were told “sorry” for not picking us up and then made to wait an hour (including having to feed baby in lobby) while they tried to find our reservation (while blaming us for booking through hotels.com). Once checked in, the rest of our stay was fine.
Food from the restaurant at the hotel was very average - edible but would not recommend or return.

Beautiful But Over Priced
Very misleading
Thought that the hotel was near the water
Pictures that were shown made you think that the hotel was near the water but it was a walk over the hill, walk to the beaches were over the hill
Very secluded and very quite
Hotel is centered in the middle of an old army barracks
Food was very expensive and average for the price
A lot of walking
The ferry schedule is very limited in September unless you want to walk 15 to 20 minutes over the hill to the other Ferry stop
Over priced!!

Its sad to say because this place has so much potential but clearly under staffed. They have the desk boy working 4 jobs and there isnt a lot of communication with everyone working. The facilities are so amazing just hard that they are not all free due to the price of the room. Also, the cleaning service never came to freshen our room. It just felt like we constantly were st the front desk asking for things that typically are done at a 3 star hotel.

Beautiful stay. Tranquil and well kept. Hidden gem. FYI: Monday and Tuesday the two other Restaurants on the island are closed but the hotel lobby bar has everything you need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We had a great stay! And everyone was very nice! And it was Beautiful and peaceful!! The only thing I will say is if you have to leave early arrange transport to the ferry the night before because the front desk is not open early, And calling the number went straight to voice mail. Also, coffee in the morning was not easily accessible. Will definitely go back… and I will take extra keurig pods ☕️

The Inn itself is gorgeous on a lovely quiet island for some exploring. The rooms are large and well maintained, and the staff while inexperienced does their best to help and answer questions.
Our room was ready when we got there early, and they let us check-in a few hours ahead which was greatly appreciated.
The pool is nice (a little chilly) and the hot tub was boiling, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The beaches are nice to visit from a short walk but don't expect sandy beaches here.
We walked around the island, even outside of the homeowner's association barrier and there is a nice gift shop where you can get ice cream, popsicles and some treats for ~1 a pop. Surprisingly reasonable for this island.
The main issue with the island is food as one might expect, so just keep you expectations on the lower end (unlike the higher side prices) and you won't be too disappointed. The hotel restaurant is OK - the pancakes were at least good - but the two island restaurants left a lot to be desired.
Would we return? I think if you are looking for a short getaway or are willing to go to portland for food, it can make an excellent relaxing trip.

The parking in the city was difficult and expensive. The Foggs ferry to the island was good. The hotel and grounds beautifully kept. The food was not all that good for me (linguini and clams) but my wife enjoyed her dish (cod fish sandwich). Bar drinks were expensive.

Beautiful property. My only complaint was due to travel, we had to take the 9pm ferry. There was not anyone there to greet us as it had said in email. Nothing like getting dropped off on an island in the dark with your children and luggage with no idea where to go. Luckily, we saw someone that pointed us in the right direction.

Great hotel and lovely experience
Hotel was amazing, as were the restaurants and facilities. Very quaint, yet luxurious. They weren’t fully staffed yet, but they helped us any way we asked them to. Would definitely do it again.

A beautiful, quiet, oasis in the middle of Casco bay. I had the joy of staying at this property for four days. I love the ambiance, atmosphere, and the tranquility this place offers. The staff was so polite and made our stay so much better. I highly recommend!

Complete relaxation
Absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment we walked into the lobby with the friendliness of Reception, during the two nights we were there and when we left. Total relaxation next to the pool and on our balcony. Very nice and clean rooms with plenty of space. The recreation room was fun, great idea.
There are a couple downfalls. The Market was closed so you have to wait for the restaurant to open which isn’t convenient for a family on a budget, so plan to eat on the Mainland or pack food to bring over - there are plenty of tables in the lobby area. The bikes are not complementary which is a bummer - in my opinion the cost of the rooms should cover the use. But these factors we worked around.
All in all we really enjoyed our two days and would definitely come back.
