Alta Las Palomas is a unique hotel with great service. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay. The only small drawback is the AC is currently out of service. However, we were comfortable in our room with the mountain breeze.

Air conditioning was broken, they never did nothing to fix it or offer another option to make my stay more comfortable, it is Costa Rica it was HOT, I could not sleep at night due how hot it was. Food was good one day and next day was awful, and then again good. Never consistent.

Arriving in this gorgeous sanctuary of a hotel after a long day on the road was most refreshing, nourishing and exceeded my expectations. The air conditioning was broken for our 5 night stay and we weren’t informed until after check in. It was very warm during our stay and we had a wedding to attend off site. Getting ready in the hot afternoon was unpleasant and the nights were uncomfortable. They did not offer us any type of refund and we were not able to switch hotels. You just expect more from a luxury hotel. I’m giving three stars because the restaurant staff were lovely.
