Charming but needs work.
The room and hotel in general were clean. The hotel was extremly dated. Needs paint and new matressess. They were too soft. The water pressure sucked. Very few plug ins in the room. We actually had to put coffee maker on kitchen sink to make coffee.overall we are not fussy and the stay was fine. But some people would not like it. I thought the rooms were charming. The first room the tub didnt drain, tge bed was way too soft. We asked for a different room and were accomedated right away . The front desk staff were really good.

Lots of room for improvement
Stains on curtains, absolutely disgusting. Extremely dusty. Ice machine was broken...received ice from bar had black specs in it.
Restaurant was closed. Elevator was stinky. Although, and having said that the front desk staff who wore many hats were magnificent.

Not bad for the price
Not bad for the price. The room was big and relatively clean, though it could use some updating. Bit of a drive and a toll bridge to get to downtown Halifax, about a 20 minute drive.

We stayed for 3 nights in September 2024 and this hotel was okay. Felt safe and staff were friendly, but it's very tired looking and could use a refresh. Only dining was the pub and it was just okay also. We drove to the ferry to get over to Halifax, but doubt you could get to the ferry otherwise.

Rude staff, lie to us they are sold out and charge $50 extra for half an hour even tho i checked online all day long they had rooms available, front desk guy was irritating, kept calling us and rude to us. Staff didn’t care for your comfort. I am sad they lie just to make few extra dollars. They were lying to the person who is in the same industry and well known about the loop holes. Anyway wasn’t worth to stay, expensive with cheap amenities. Would never recommend.Piece of crap. Dirty bathroom, musty smell and stinky bedding. I could barely slept for 3 hours. Booked room for 2 night but stayed only 3 hours which were the worst hours of my life.
