Wear and tear creepy
The hotel needs to be bulldozed. Its old, the room have years and years of wear and tear...it was creepy old. I am NOT a complainer at all. I can let a bunch go, but this need a massive redo. Sorry guys but update this crap.

Make this right!!!!
First of all I’d like to say you guys advertised that I got a room with a jacuzzi just to find out when I get in my room I didn’t get one. I went down to the office and told them I got a room with a jacuzzi and there’s not one in my room. They told me nothing was available and that the 3rd party booking does that a lot. I go in to tell her I’ve never had an issue or this problem anywhere I’ve ever book through you guys but this time y’all let me down! I wish you could credit me a weekend stay somewhere cause that’s crazy it ruined my weekend I didn’t have that in my room but I made the best of it.

Dirty rooms, friendly staff
Staff was polite and friendly. The hotel is definitely dated and has seen better days. Graffiti carved on the wall in the lobby. Elevator was dirty. Room was dirty, bed stained and couch was ripped. The shampoo and body wash was missing only leaving the conditioner in the shower that is mounted. Super disappointed in this Marriott.

Don’t use Marriott in Gastonia
Absolutely furious. Room was reserved in advance. I received confirmation. I called the hotel to let them know my daughters would be checking and would be late arriving. When they arrived the doors were locked. Then the clerk told them she didn’t see the room. They showed her confirmation. She said she could cancel without charge after claiming she didn’t see the room. She proceeded to finally admit they had overbooked and now my two daughters didn’t have a room. It’s 1:30am at this time and no rooms available for miles.
I have been a hotel.com user and I am a Marriott Silver elite member and this how my patronage is rewarded? If they were overbooked the clerk could have told me at 9pm when I called. She gave the rooms away and sent two young ladies out into the parking lot in the middle of the night. Completely unacceptable.

Awesome staff, we got stuck during Helene and they were very accommodating. That being said… There were a few stains on the furniture and the balcony was a bit dirty. The tub also only had one working jet and the light did not work. Paid an additional fee for breakfast but was never given information about that and never offered breakfast..

I was served expired food for breakfast at this location which resulted in a loss of income from my job. Staff was incredibly rude going so far as to accuse me of theft. Room was still dirty, with used toilet paper, used shampoo bottles and use napkins stuffed into the holder. There were cockroaches in the room which I would have let go until the other things came up. The toilet ran the entire time I was there. So far, I’ve had zero interaction with the hotel even though they said they were going to reconcile for these problems. Do not stay here.

The pool area and hot tub was very clean but I did not have many amenities in the room and had to keep asking for towels and toilet paper. The wallpaper by the ac unit was actually peeling from a water leak and damage. The bed was also very hard and not comfortable at all. The refrigerator was very tiny and did not have a microwave close by.

The online pictures does not represent the actual rooms. Its a non smoking facility, but the smell of weed reeked throughout. The furniture is old and dingy, tub in the bathroom had a permanent stain, wall paper was peeling. I was extremely disappointed that this particular location is part of the Marriott brand.

There was very little staff available, and those that curt and unhelpful. The room lacked, basic amenities, such as plastic or paper
cups for water or coffee, The shower had two dispensers for conditioner but no soap or dispenser for soap. In short, basic amenities and hospitality were absent.
