2-Star Room, Maybe Other Rooms Were Better
Definitely a 2-star hotel. Our room was very light all night because the drapes weren't wide enough to cover the entire window. They covered about half of the window and there was a security light on the outside wall, so very bright. The shower was also only about half as wide as it should have been. The bathroom didn't have a fan and the mirror frame seemed to have a black mold growing on it. However, the room was extremely quiet, probably the quietest budget hotel we have ever stayed in. We chose the hotel based on proximity to the attraction we were visiting. Would we stay there again? Not if we didn't need to. But it was blissfully quiet!

Great location, but a little worn
I've been staying at this location once or twice a year for the past 15 years or so. It's a great location and a generally good hotel, but it's starting to look run down and is due for a renovation. The breakfast is good, but the shower took about 5 minutes to heat up and the hot tub jets were non-functional (these are just examples of the kind of overall challenges the property has). I'd recommend it, especially for a family, but set your expectations below "perfection".

Stinky, urine-stained carpeted room ! ! !
I came for only one night with my small dog. The first thing that hit me when I entered the room (#124) was the STINK - the room smelled of pet urine! The carpet had urine stains!! I told the receptionist and he told me the hotel was going to remodel in a couple of months. He told me they had no other rooms available. I asked if there was a spray and he told me the housekeeping were already gone. I asked for incense - anything to cover the smell. I made sure to put nothing on the carpet and wore my slippers. I should be given a refund for this - totally unacceptable.

In need of renovation
Overall, the room and gotel had what we needed. However, it is in desperate need of a renovation; old carpet, cheap laminate flooring, faucet fixture moved, shower didnt drain well, no usb charging outlet. The room didnt even have an alarm clock. Breakfast was decent and basic. Coffee needs to be tended to quicker. Sevwral times throughout all of breakfast, I noticed people waiting for more coffee. Staff was friendly. Close to and within walking distance of restaurants.

Great staff. Decaying installations.
The service was very good. Amanda, at the front desk, couldn't be nicer. She was kind and professional. The housekeeper was nice and attentive. However, the hotel is in bad shape. It needs maintenance urgently. The sinks do not flow as they should. Several outlets do not work. The sheets are clean but very old. The worst was when i saw a rouch in the restroom. It is sad but evident this hotel is decaying fast.

They offered breakfast. Staff working the dining area was rude. No hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, peanut butter, waffles and decaf coffee when we went down to eat at 830. Breakfast served 7-10am. I waited 15 min nothing restocked so I asked a gal cleaning tables. I was told as she walked away from me while answering she’s working on it. At 915 I asked again I was told she’s working on it. At 930 I went into cupboard and got the peanut butter myself and retoasted the slice of bread Shouldn’t serve breakfast if that’s the accommodation they are going to give

Curtains were torn. Door on dresser kept coming open by itself. Carpets appeared dirty. No one came to the front desk when we wanted to check out. We waited about 10-12 minutes & finally just left. Trying to find a number to the front desk after we left was not easy. Wanted to make sure we received the deposit back. When I did find a number staff was not that helpful since we booked through a third party. We will look else where the next time we are in Tucson.
