What a wonderful little place!
The Keystone Ice House is a lovely little hideaway in the midst of tourist central. Tammy and Sean do a wonderful job of taking care of the place and make you feel sooo much like a member of their family. Highly recommended for someone looking for something a little different from the usual motel/hotel experience. Five stars in my book!

Fantastic!
What an adorable cabin! It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location was great and the area surrounding is so quaint and quiet. Quick drive to Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. When you stay here, do yourself a favor and check out Black Hills Glass Blowers, Dahl Brothers Wood Carvers, Bear Country USA and go eat at Powder House Lodge. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in town!

We loved the uniqueness and the location of this property!
The location was perfect as a central location for our daily road trips...beds were comfortable and air worked well...wish there would have been a few more amenities, ie: dishes, silverware, hair dryer...but we made do from the little grocery store that was in walking distance. Owner/manager quickly responded when we had a question about the key. Thank you all for your hospitality.

Awesome place, great location
Stayed at the Ice House for a three day vacation with my wife and two young kids. This property was perfect for what we needed. Two twin bunks, a full in the loft, and pullout bed that we didn’t need to use. I would suggest bringing a griddle and pots/pans if you plan on cooking anything yourself. It’s bare bones as far as cooking utensils goes. Basically just one small casserole dish(and no oven to use it with anyway). I know people go to Keystone for the restaurants and things to do in town, but people generally also stay at vacation rentals to save money on meals, lodging, etc. The location of this place can’t really be beat. Off the main drag, but close enough for a longer walk or very short drive to anything downtown.

Quite cozy and comfortable cabin
We really enjoyed the Historic Ice House! It suited our needs so well and we were very comfortable staying there. It’s in a great central location and we drove all over the Black Hills during the days returning to our cabin in the evening. Very nice! We would stay there again!
