Tru by Hilton Rapid City Rushmore

Hotel was fine but even though there was a requirement for masks 90% were not wearing masks in common areas. When I asked I was told Hilton does not want us to push it. I also encountered 6 different staff, 2 preparing food who were unmasked.

Trip was great. We come to South Dakota every 4-5 weeks for a week. We love it here!! Only complaint was the pillows were very hard!

The hotel was nice and clean, staff was friendly. Only complaint I have is it’s loud. I could hear the people above me walking, the elevator ding every time it opened, etc. it’s almost like they forgot to insulate.

It was nice except we had to go through the other hotel to check in, idk if they were renovating or Covid...I really liked the hardwood floors in the room & walk-in showers! They also had nice shampoo/ conditioner & body wash that were in dispensers, but didn't have make up remover wipes. I would stay again!

I was disappointed with my stay and the overall experience. We were given room 135 (if you happen to get it demand another) and it is located at the end of the hall right next to the exterior door. Due to it being a busy weekend the door was accessed no less than 20 times per hour until approximately 3 am and each time it sounded like our room door was being opened and when it slammed shut it shook the wall. I think I only got a few hours of sleep combined through the night. I had asked to be moved but because we made the reservation through here and not the hotel directly they would not move us. I am not a person to complain and this is actually the first review I have ever written but that room should never be rented out and should be turned into a storage area.

Staff was accommodating. The fire pits in the smoking sections aren’t in during the winter but they turned one in for me. The lobbies have many different areas to set up laptops for business.

Nice hotel, weird checking in next door snd not having front desk staff at the actual hotel. Room was nice, beds were comfortable but pillows left a lot to be desired. Pool was great, our kids loved the slide, no hot tub, gym was nice too! Breakfast was gross but it was a hot sandwich, juice and also yogurt and cereal were available

We had a great stay at the hotel! Our rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable! This was our first stay at Tru and it was a good choice!

There was a lot of noise throughout the evening and night when we were trying to sleep after a long day on the road. Elevator dinging (we were right next to it), cars cruising the parking lot behind the hotel (we were on the ground floor). Some kind of heating fan or noise that we had to turn the fan on in our room to drown out to sleep. The room was very clean and the staff was nice. Just really noisy for a weeknight.

We always stay at Tru at least 2-3 days when we cone to Rapid City. Only complaint is the squeeze bottkea for shampoo, etc. Hard to get out of the bottles. Beds are soooo comfortable. While there is no coffee in the rooms it was always available at the desk, where the employees are friendly!!
