Guests can indulge in a pampering treatment at the hotel's full-service spa, Soranoyu≪from March to November. Services include massages. The spa is equipped with hot springs/mineral springs and a hot tub. The spa is open selected days. Children under 12 years old are not allowed in the spa without adult supervision.

I think a lot of the Onsen properties are on the hillside above the city proper which is down the hill quite a ways. You need to drive to get to downtown area which is rather bustling. It was nice to be in a quiet area. Just a short drive is everything you need including lots of good eateries they're quite reasonable.
