Terre di Mezzo Country House is a nice property in a beautiful location. The breakfast is excellent and the property is well maintained. We enjoyed our stay there. I would give it maximum rating if it wasn't for the incident that occurred at the time of our arrival. We arrived at the property around 5pm, and we found that the gate was closed. With our car waiting for the gate to open, we ringed the gate's buzzer several times but nobody answered. We then called the property by using the number reported on the entrance sign, again several times, but nobody answered. I then decided to trespass the gate and walk over to the property's front door, which is about 100 meters from the gate. When I arrived in at the country house, all the doors were shut and nobody was there. After a few minutes, I noticed a person living in the adjacent property. The neighbor eventually alerted the manager, who arrived at the property shortly after. What made matters worse was the reaction of the manager, who instead of apologizing for the inconvenience appeared to be annoyed by the fact that we had arrived without notice (at 5pm in the afternoon, and even though we had a regular reservation made through hotels.com).
