Very quaint, with all that you need.

Great and cozy in an older setting. Comfortable rooms with just the right size, and very clean and comfy for quick stays. The concierge team was invaluable and polite, and the location is near the city center, within walking distance of the Metro.

Nice Historic Hotel

I love staying at the Architect hotel when I'm in the office for meetings. The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable and customer service is excellent.

Affordable stay in the heart of DC

Very good location for the price. Clean room with a lot of towels provided. One minus was the loud AC that kept a creaky noise and bed was not the most comfortable. Very nice stay overall, recommend!

Cute and Convenient

Neat, old hotel with history. Room was small, but cozy. Our view was the building next door, 6 inches away. But that made for a quiet stay. The pillows were pretty bad though, very thin. We would stay again, but probably bring our own pillows.

It was fine

Just a place to stay. Clean small rooms. Polite but purely transactional check in. No water or coffee in room. They put a $150 hold on your card above and beyond the room price. Ice machine can be found down in the basement.

Lovely place

A very quaint and secluded place within walking distance of plenty of places to eat and sightsee. The room was clean no issue at all very comforting bed. The only issue about the room is the watering system will make it weird noise when you turn the shower on, but besides that a real great place. Also with it being DC of course parking will be an issue

Didn't work for us

The room was small but livable and looked clean. The air quality was unbearable with the deodorizer. (Fabreeze or similar) We were in the room for less than an hour and left. It was midnight and didn't feel like arguing and just left. As some of the other comments suggested and I didn't believe it, to check in, you had to interrupt the front desk person who was outside getting high.

Hotel with a good location but I had a bad situation where I decide to stay one more night and I notified the reception and they said ok. In the next day 10:56 (before the hour of the checkout) they house keeper just open my room when I as sleeping, then the lady in reception called me asking if I will stay on more day or do late checkout (and I notified her in the day before that I was going to stay 1 more night) and then after this the house keeper come in my room again asking me if I will leave or do late checkout. A messy

Secret agents following me and other guests

Well I'm going to be completely honest with you I was at the lobby and two Secret Service agents came in handsome guys and they smiled at me and they went to the front desk and I was on my phone and I'm like that's well why would these guys look back at me and smile I further hear very well and I heard them tell them tell the front desk agent that they were secret agents and that they are looking for an Andrew Lima and the customer service or the front desk manager whatever she was the agent the customer service rep just someone at the front desk she opens the computer and she literally prints out any details of Andrew Lima that took place and she had it to them and they said thank you very much do not tell anyone we're looking for them that we asked about this and they walked out with all of the information on Andrew Lima I don't know who he is but all I know is I'll never stay there again and this is the case in the previous Hotel I stayed at and then another dynamic

The Hotel is good for what it is- a place to stay and in a decent location. It is pretty bare bones with no accessories besides the room. The room was sort of Euro in its size and amenities. It has all you need and it was clean and easy to deal with.
