There was no free parking. The breakfast was very poor. Nothing hot. There was a party the night before and the furniture was all stacked on top of each other chair in couchs. No juice.

A work in progress
Great location and price point. I was on the first floor for 2 nights. It is not a true hotel. It is an apartment building they’ve transitioned into hotel. The “front desk” is a janky desk in a foyer. I cannot comment on breakfast or anything above the first floor but the first floor was rough. It looked like a weekend warrior renovated it. Paint overspray everywhere, floor separating from each other, odd finishes in the unit. If you just want to sleep at a decent place for a good price, this works. I’d probably try another hotel next time.

Staff at front desk marginally helpful, the breakfast horrible stale crossaint was a staple even on Christmas Day! The house keeping is optional, you have to make request to have your room cleaned, out of 10 nights i slept comfortably for two, discovered house cleaning replace my sheets with dirty ones, horrible experience

Left a lot to be desired
We booked a trip to DC, decided to go with this hotel for the overall good reviews and appealing pictures of the hotel. Was put in a room directly off the lobby. The check in woman apologized for this and said that they were pretty booked up. Extremely noisey listening to people shout in the lobby until after midnight. Only two pillows on the bed and they were awful. Piling on the bedding and very thick uncomfortable pillow. At least the shower was nice and hot. The continental breakfast was a huge disappointment. $25 to park and you have to move your car by 9am. Overall I can say I will never be back and hope you consider other options.

Did you turn up the thermostat?
Was the incredibly condescending response from staff the first time I alerted them that the thermostat was displaying an error message and there was NO HEAT in my room. A promise to look into it did not happen. The second ask resulted in a maintenance request being written down, but nothing transpired during my stay. No other assistance was offered and I had to ask for another blanket or 2. Apparently the hotel only has 1 extra cotton blanket. The next day and third request and finally a space heater and another comforter were offered. This is the 5th or 6th stay at the property in 2022 and the others stays (in the newer section of the hotel) were very pleasant. If you get assigned room 1105, immediately ask for another room!

Not recommended for your stay on DuPont Circle
The DuPont Circle location is why I chose this hotel but within an hour of my arrival I regretted the choice: no legal place to park for checkin; service elevator for luggage or handicapped access out of order; given the key to an occupied room and surprised by man answering in underwear; replaced key and the handle to the new room fell off in my hand. During the three day stay there was no staff in the breakfast area and each day was a challenge: no knives one day, no spoons for yoghurt or cereal another, then Coffee machine out of order. The hotel seems to be poorly staffed: only a front desk clerk, a housekeeper and a maintenance worker seen in three days. The mansion part of the facility seems to be the focus and the hotel part is an afterthought. The room was okay but overpriced given the poor service.
