Despite being advertised as a family hotel, our holidays were ruined because of the hotel owner’s attitude and covert effort to make money out of everything. Firstly,upon arrival we discovered a ‘guests have to’ list which ‘surprisingly’ does not appear on the hotel’s website or on hotels.com. Every day, the owner would find a ‘reason’ to remind us of the list stressing the fact that we would be held liable if we don’t comply (see the photos uploaded).She made sure she would do so in the yard in front of the other guests to embarrass us as much as possible. Apart from the list, there were terms and conditions that were revealed tous gradually.E.g.we couldn’t take our swimming stuff in the room. There was a ‘designated’ area in the yard where they were unattended all night with stray cats leaving their droppings on;or we couldn’t get in the room unless we meticulously wiped our feet on the doormat.We couldn’t enjoy the yard with our kids because it was hot in the day and dark in the evening as there were no lights.As for the balcony view,the balcony lights didn't work. When we asked the cleaner to change the light bulbs, she ‘kindly’ replied that she isn't an electrician.Two days before the checkout, we found out that she had already used our credit card number to charge us for our stay without any prior warning. She asked us to check out at 10.30 although check out time's 12.00 according to EOT.(see photo provided). In short, kindness and hospitality aren’t on Dimitra’s list.
