Some reviews said having just two restaurants was a negative for this resort, but I never found any trouble with food choices. The main restaurant has theme nights, and we could order from the menu and/or get some buffet choices at dinner time.
Lunch for us was by the pool and could order it through the waiters; it wasn’t super-fast, though. That said, there was a plentiful snack basket in the room, and you may ask for refills as often as needed…so we could bring some down to the pool, just in case.
We used the Spa once. It was a bit pricey and not as glamorous as other locations we’ve visited in Mexico, but the service itself was good.
Didn’t use the kid’s club, because a lot of what was scheduled was movies and video games, and the craft and sports activities (one of each daily) were scheduled at times that didn’t work for our family “vacation schedule”. But the facilities looked clean and kid-friendly.
The night activities were fun, a bit subdued compared to other resorts we’ve visited, but we assume it’s party because this wasn’t a very busy season. We really enjoyed the magician and the singer at the main restaurant (Andrea).
The pools were great and the beach was clean and well equipped with lounge chairs, tents and such. As with any resort, getting a prime spot with chairs, shade and a table was tricky for late risers, but the staff was really helpful about trying to accommodate everyone. Again, I don’t think they were at full capacity, so that helped.
