Plus: had a single room, it was beautiful (not boring square), comfortable bed, nice shower. Loved the breakfast! They even had decaf coffee. Minus: no decaf tea in the room to drink at night, only black and green tea. I probable could have asked for it, though, very professional staff.

Lovely hotel but standard rooms rather small. We had to move rooms as there was no walk-in shower (as described on the website) and despite having booked a superior room, we were given a standard room and no refund or acknowledgment of the £100 price difference… On the plus side, Uppsala is absolutely lovely! Some staff were absolutely wonderful, others quite ignorant and unwilling to help, for example trying to get vegan butter/margarine for breakfast was straightforward on some days, on others impossible.

On arrival the room hadn't be heated. Only Swedish stations on TV. Very small bathroom. The room was small in general. No smoking allowed on outside terrasse - ridicules! Extremely poor breakfast. Omelette was absurde. Bacon as well. No fresh brewed coffee. A very friendly and helpful staff (Philip & Walter) doesn't make a 4 star hotel. The lady-owner of the hotel seems to be an unexperienced idiot who never frequented other hotels that are known as "best hotel in town".

Alltid lika mysigt! Vacker historisk miljö. Bekväm hotellbar/-lounge. Enkelt att äta middag även på egen hand. Ligger centralt i Uppsala, så nära till allt.
