8/10 Very good
1 November 2024
Small room with basic amenities, good service
As some other travelers noted, accommodations at Relax Inn are spartan but clean. I had to attend a family funeral on short notice, so $100/night for a 2-night stay worked for me. Other local hotels were fully booked and twice the price. Parking at the roadside motel was fine, with a fair amount of traffic coming by.
It had a working mini-fridge, microwave, and tiny coffee maker. The newish flat screen tv and remote worked well. The small bathroom with pocket door had hot water, toilet, sink, and light-up vanity mirror.
The queen bed was comfortable with clean but worn bedding. There was a small side table and an office chair In the opposite corner. No dresser, desk, or other furniture -- three hooks in the wall with a full-size mirror in the corner next to the tv. The room had recently been renovated, with laminate vinyl flooring. Space was pretty tight.
The biggest positive was Sisi, the owner/manager. He was very responsive. He helped me on the phone re-book when accidentally booked wrong dates and was very nice when I checked in. The biggest negative was the very small room and potential noise levels. I was tucked into a small hallway, so had no view, which was ok because I didn't hear road noise. I could easily hear my neighbors when they went to and from their rooms. Luckily, they were generally considerate and were not up late.
