The shower barely worked. The toilet was very cheap. There was no tv in the room. No porch light. Very deep in the alley and quite a far walk to the tourist area and Alona beach. The road/alley going into the place was not paved. I would not recommend.

The first time I regret my choice
This is the worst hotel I have ever staying. There are so many bad parts. 1.The building was unsafe, the wooden stairs were cracked. When we walked on it, you can feel the shaking of the building.also you can feel the shaking once someone passed by the stairs. 2.The floor bowed just by standing on it and when even in our bed we could feel our neighbour walking in their room. 3. When plugging in my phone charger the walled bounced. 4.the door was not fitted properly ,it always left a crack big enough for a big gecko to get in. 5.We had several time of power cuts. 6.the water there is also shut down once, and the tap cannot close to, drop a lot of salty water. 7.the wall is made by thin board,so we can hear our nearby breathing. 8.we cannot bear to stay there anymore,so just stayed two nights, asked them to refund us,but they just put that duty to HOTELS,and refund nothing,we lost 9nights fees 9.the first day we went there, there is no cloth to cover your body, any one sheet to cover the bed. Don’t looking forward you staying here, even it is recommended by Lonely Planet, but sometime they will make mistakes too!

Great stay
Great place a little off the beaten track. Still walkable but the hotel will pay for a tricycle to and from the main strip between 18.00 and 22.00. GREAT aircon

Cute bungalow, has potential but basic
Short walk to town, good to stretch legs but you may feel uncomfortable as a solo traveller as it is on a back road. Having said that they offer a free ride in the evening. The staff were friendly and the bungalow basic, but rustic as expected. The view from the veranda of coconut tree was pretty however having a leaking sewer on the garden next to us was fairly gross!

Good place to stay
Good place to stay. 7/10. The location is what let’s this accommodation down - it is about a 15 min walk to the beach and down some dark alleys/paths at night so could be scary on your own. They do offer a shuttle service to and from the hotel to the beach for free, between 6-10pm which was great and really handy. Make sure you say to the trike driver it’s to chill out, and they pay there - as it seemed only some drivers were willing to take it on. The room was good, comfy big bed, good A/C. No reliable WiFi, only slow and intermittent. Bathroom facilities also good!

2/10 Poor

Very basic room which is fine but the room looked at a concrete fence with jagged glass on top... no breeze and only a fan with no window to open for air circulation. Felt like being in a steam room but without any of the enjoyment. I wanted to peel my skin off. We promptly went in search of another place to stay and forfeited our money.

Staff was very helpful. Food was good with many local dishes. For an overnight stay, it provided most of what I was looking for in a budget guest house.

It's very thoughtful of them to provide free tricycle rides to and fro Alona Beach after 6 p.m. even though it's fine to walk. The wooden room is comfy and has all the basic amenities we need.

Great quiet stay
Great place to stay near Alona beach. Beautiful surroundings and lovely rooms. A little off the beaten track and slightly hard to find, but really quiet and away from the main beach. Only took 15-20 mins to walk to the beach, and between certain hours the staff will pay for a motorbike taxi to take you to/from the beach. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the premises always had staff on site which made it feel very safe. Would highly recommend!

Nothing like expected
Knew I was getting a low rate and was expecting some inconveinces but, got to the hotel, was told I'd be put in another room til mine was ready, next morning ask to stay in the in the unassigned room, it was denied and I was told the couple who was staying my room would be moving out and as soon as it was cleaned I could move in, they double booked the rooms.

Nice guesthouse, a little off the beaten path
The guesthouse is quite nice. The rooms are decent. The floors are a bit creaky, so it can get loud but it never influenced my sleeping. The only real issue with the guesthouse is that it is a bit far from the main street and beach. The road at night is a bit long and dark, but the hotel will pay for any transport back after dark. Overall, its a great deal for the price.

Just okay :-/
Overall just okay. The staff is really nice and do everthing they can to help. Happy hour is great! Beds are uncomfortable and very noisy. We woke up everytime one of our room neighbors went to the bathroom.

Quiet guesthouse near Alona Beach
Chill-out Guesthouse is quite closely located to Alona Beach, the main touristy beach in Panglao. They will arrange (and pay for) a tricycle taxi to pick you up and take you home after 6 p.m which is a great service. The rooms have wi-fi but the signal isn't very good. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here if you want to be close to Alona Beach but far enough to not be disturbed by the crowds

Great secluded hideaway an easy walk to the beach
The guesthouse is a super chilled out quiet little place set in a leafy garden. It feels off the beaten path, but it's only a 10 minute stroll to the main street and a couple more minutes to Alona beach. It's a very simple place - there aren't a lot of options for food from the small kitchen (the fresh mango juice is great), but the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The room was basic but extremely clean and comfortable. The only small issue I had was being in a room with a fan only and not having any windows that opened to let in a breeze. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a quiet, relaxing place that has everything you need for a great price.

Nice hotel Clean Quiet But far away from the main
The hotel it's far away from the mAin road and far away from the beach Sow you need about 30 minuts walking to get acces to the beach! Most of the parts of the beach are Privat sow you're not alowed to pass there

Friendly and helpful staff
staff at chill-out is very helpful and friendly. the environment of the guesthouse is also nice, comfortable and relax. However, water pressure and soundproof are a bit worse. It is not close to the beach but one return shuttle to alona beach by tricycle is provided from 6pm to 11pm =)

Great value, great place!
Great value! The guesthouse premises are nice (nice garden) and the rooms are clean. The verandas outside the rooms are a nice touch. The bathroom in the room we stayed at had a broken tile, but other than that, it was functional and fine. The location wasn't too bad at all. Had to walk ~10 min. to get to Alona beach, and at night the guesthouse reimburses up to a certain amount for a trike/tricycle ride to and from. Hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly--they arranged our scooter rental and our tours! Oh, and they provide mineral water to refill your bottles, as well! Internet, unlike other places we stayed at in the country, worked really well. The service level was superb--I felt cared for at this place. Awesome!!

Not good
I had stayed the guesthouse for 4days. Far from beach, there is nothing but local house around this hotel. The air is always smoky because the local guys burn woods for daily life. The room was humid, smells bad. The bathroom doesn't have fan so air just stuck inside. You can find much better hotel along beach at reasonable price.
