We checked in around 1:00 PM and patiently waited for the room as the check-in time was 2:00 PM. Finally, we got to our room around 3:00 PM. The temperature inside the room was about 85-90 Degrees Fahrenheit with AC running at full blast. We waited until evening, thinking the AC was working overtime and might start cooling by evening. No Change even after Sun Down.
I called reception and complained about the AC. After an hour, the maintenance person finally shows up and says that he has fixed the AC. I asked him to come back after 30 minutes as there was no change inside the room. He came back and said that AC was not working and left. No news after that, and he just disappeared.
We were too tired to fight the battle and slept after taking two strong pills. I went to the reception in the morning, complained about the AC, and was told that the AC was fixed/working. I told her that I must be crazy to complain if the AC was working. I asked the receptionist to give us another room, and finally, around 2:00 PM, we were moved to a room with working AC. What a relief. We should have walked out of the room the evening before and demanded a room with working AC. No apologies from the hotel; it seems that the AC is not working in most of the rooms. Shabby service from the Hilton Brand of Hotel. Definitely, not recommended.
