We all loved our stay at San Gennaro Castello! We are a family of four and we chose to stay here because of its great location, allowing us to visit Pisa, Lucca and Florence! We felt really welcomed and nothing was too much trouble to ask for, we will definitely stay again!

Beautiful area but need car
Lovely place in beautiful area away from the crowds. We used it as a base for Lucca. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you have a car though you can take a cab to it. A bit difficult to find, up narrow windy roads on the hilltop. Hosts are very personable and welcoming. Speak both Italian and English fluently. Very spacious. Food is very good. Would also be good for a family.

Excellent character property with warm welcome
We thought this was a lovely B&B. We were made really welcome by the owner. The bedroom was roomy, characterful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room full of fascinating football related pictures and some memorabilia. The property sits at the top of a nice Tuscan village with great views. We think this B&B is a real treat and highly recommended.

Wonderful stay. Dario was exceptionally helpful in suggesting things to do and helping us stay nearby longer when we changed our plans to stay longer and he was booked up. Enjoyed two very tasty dinners for a reasonable charge. Hope to go back for another visit one day.

100% relax in inexpensive Tuscan village
The owners are EXTREMELY NICE people - brought us on a wine tour. Made amazing food for us and treated us like family. This is an EXCEPTIONAL find and very inexpensive for location and relaxing facilities. NOTE: this is not a hotel in the middle of a big city. It is in a remote location so drive slow and take in all the sights and sounds. NOTICE the quiet. Also note how the owners treat their guests !

We decided to stay here for one night heading out of Florence, as we wanted to get up early to visit a Pisa before we drove to our next stop in France. We were greeted by a very welcoming and friendly host Dario who spoke very good English which was a pleasant surprise.

Ho prenotato per conto dei miei genitori quindi scrivo da parte loro. Il luogo è incantevole, paradisiaco, assolutamente tranquillo è immerso nella natura Toscana, in un piccolo borghetto. Il castello è propio come nelle foto, particolare, ordinato, pulito e rustico. Il personale è assolutamente cordiale e disponibile. Consiglio vivamente a tutti un pernottamento anche solo per staccare la spina per una notte.
