Rooms are super tight
We had a superior double room overlooking the dome of the Les Invalides. Our windows opened which added a bit more space to the 17sqm. Please take note, this is a really small room, there is no sitting area, you will be sat on the bed when in for the evening. There is a mini fridge in the wardrobe, but my raincoat could not be hung in the wardrobe as it touched the fridge and we could smell plastic after 10 minutes. Very limited storage in the wardrobe. No room to lay open bags, we had to store one closed in the bathroom, which was a good size, bright and airy, also with a window that could open. The lift is tiny and will fit one person and two large bags. We stayed 5 nights and breakfast had a good variety to fill us until lunch time. There are no self serve laundry facilities, however there is one within walking distance.
Close to a number of stations and easy access to the RER if heading to Versailles. This building is very old (as in age) and so modern conveniences have been added.
Unfortunately, by the end of five nights I was feeling the lack of space. I wouldn't stay here again for a length of time, however for a night or two with a small carry on size luggage, we would return. Staff were very friendly and really helpful.
