Place was good Location . Nice Friendly people , Only downfall that I found was the breakfast Toast was white look like in went in and pop straight back out , Beans were warm and the sausages look like they’ve been done in the oven there was no colour to him at all , which is a Shame because we had evening meal and that was fine so maybe they had a Different Chef for breakfast

    Manager is an ass

Stay was okay. Staff were lovely and friendly. Except the Saturday night music from the Bar downstairs was being played loudly and some awful karaoke. This went on till 00.40 I had to ring twice before someone answered. They were offish and rude and claimed that it said online that they have a late night music license which was a load of crap as it said they close at 11pm. Turns out the rude sod was the manager I was told he would call as I wasn’t happy about paying for that nights stay as myself and my friend had to work the next day. And of course no call. Apart from that hotel was okay, food was good. Other staff members were fantastic. Bed needs replacing as it creeks anytime you move. Shame the manager was such a rude prick!

    Bed and breakfast?!!!

The stay was lovely and the friendliness of the hotel/ pub was wonderful. My only disappointment was i wasnt told it was bed and breakfast and so i missed out on two paid breakfasts. The food was great in the evenings so to miss out on two breakfasts was annoying

The toilet flush kept going every 5 minutes through the night. The toilet seat was loose so when you sat down it slide to the side(easily fixable) no batteries in remote control for tv. I'm not complaining I'm just pointing out the thing's that can be fixed in minutes

Unfortunately the hotel and rooms were in pretty dire condition. Had planned to have dinner here but the moment we walked in and went through to the bar/dining area, we knew we would go elsewhere for dinner and in the morning we didn't fancy chancing the breakfast either. Main issue was one of the rooms was right by the kitchen extractor fan which was very noisy and very smelling. Air heavy with grease and it was a hot night so difficult to sleep without the windows open.

I have booked in at this Inn for the last six years, four times a year, and up to the change of management a year ago was absolutely fine. It has in my view now gone downhill, as I was refused ordering an evening meal because they were too busy feeding people most of whom weren't even staying the night. Very angry about it!

    Avoid

Room very basic and need of upgrading. food ok although limited menu. Unfortunately despite pre booking breakfast for 7.00 am , 2 out of three mornings, staff did not make it down untill gone 7.30, meaning breakfast was not served untill after 8.00 am. Not good when your on business. I work away a lot, and stay at hotels all over GB, this is by far the worst that I have stayed in. To add insult to injury, I have just been e- mailed my receipt for my stay at the Highway Man. It is £27.00 less than I paid???? Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Booked 4 rooms and breakfast for a work trip, The first day no one turned up to cook breakfast so we had to go to Tesco. On the third day we had to wait 20 mins for the restaurant to open as the chef had again overslept. Then kept waiting further 30 mins for the food to turn up which made us all late for work.
