Business Trip
Riverbos Guest House Is a convenient stay if you are on a business trip.Just of Dorp St at the end of a Cul De Sac. with secure parking. The Building is in want of a bit of maintenance.
I have stayed here on all my business trips Now was the fifth time and I have seen it gradually deteriorate over time. The staff are always friendly and helpfull.

The location is tops. The groundfloor room was abit noisy due to the front door alongside,so my advice is a first floor room. The breakfAst was super, and overall I would give the guesthouse a 85/100 rating.

Average stay but ok for the price
We expected a bit more, was ok for the price i guess. Felt a bit run down, had to change rooms because first room was right next to kitchen and had rubbish outside window. No toilet paper in room. Friendly staff though. Limited tv channels, felt a bit like a dorm. Ok for one night sleep.

Quaint guesthouse in a quaint town
Had a short one night stay in Stellenbosch and Riverbos was a great choice. You enter via a gated courtyard which has 24-hour manned security (although it doesn't seem necessary in such a quaint area). The staff was very helpful, providing great recommendations in town for food and wine. The breakfast was tasty and a great start to the day. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice Place to Stay.
Nice little place to stay and explore downtown Stellenbosh. Rooms are cozy if a little cramped and the Wi-Fi doesn't work too well in the rooms.Service was good and breakfast yummy. Wanted to stay another night but fully booked on a weekday so must be popular!

Out of date guesthouse
It is an old building which is not a problem as long as it is maintained properly, and renovated in time. The Rivierbos Guesthouse was not uptodate and needs a large renovation. The bathroom was completely outofdate, the shower was not giving enough water to get wet properly, and the water was leaking on the floor. The standard rooms are quite small. The breakfast was good, nothing wrong with that. I believe that the owner must invest or lose his business in the coming years.

Good location poor room
The location and staff of this hotel are excellent. There is also excellent secure parking on site. Unfortunately the room was minute. You couldn't lay out a bag any where without blocking movement around the room. The bathroom door wouldn't open fully because the bed was in the way. If you wanted to watch the tv (which we didn't) it was mounted on the wall at right angles to the bed. One wall was a full length patio style sliding glass doors which opened out onto the main corridor. To maintain privacy the curtains needed to be drawn resulting in no natural light in the room. Fortunately we spent little time in the room so got by.

Great if you don't have a car
I ended up on Waal street which was a really nice location in Bo-Kamp but the downside was that the security guard to watch your car if on Rose st about a 6mins walk. The breakfast is on a self-serve basis, you want eggs, you cook 'em!

Quiet and close to Restaurants
A very quiet place to stay very close to a variety of places to eat within approximately 250m walking distance.
I stayed for 2 nights because of the location.
I will stay at the Rivierbos again when I return on business.

Terrible
this guest house is absolutely to avoid: people are not friendly, the house has no charm, the pool is the size of a tub, the breakfast is poor...however the room is clean . We went to several guest houses during our vacation in SA, and this one was very disappointing . We would not recommend it
however it is very well located close to a very good restaurant ' THE BIG EASY' that we recommend

Pay a little more and STAY ELSEWHERE. Not worth it
Guest house was very tired inside. We often stay in basic but clean rooms. This is NOT it. The room does not feel clean - slight stains on the sheets and towels, old soap from previous guest found in shower, smell of garbage in the dark hall ways, dingy floors. Really bad wifi reception in room (beside breakfast room). One of the staff was nice and friendly enough. The other receptionist was indifferent in her approach.

Ok
It's close to town so thats a plus. Receptionist was surprised, a little rude that I had walked straight in because the gate was open. Room took forever to get ready and they were reluctant to make a local call for me to meet a friend. At night the staff use the lobby as a hangout and the sound reverberates right up to the rooms. When i checked out the gate motor was broken, so waited about 15mins to get out. There are other better accommodations in town for the same price.
We spent 8 nights here.
Staff -- very friendly & accommodating. I really enjoyed them!
Breakfasts -- Boring, served on cold plates! Same each morning.
Room: Freezing, in spite of the wall heater. Very 'budget'. Sheets not changed once while we were there.Towels very thin & small. Cleaning left much to be desired.
Location -- Very central, which was nice. Unfortunately, no access to the river along which the guest house is situated.
At a push, I might stay here again.

Koselig lite hotell.
Koselig lite hotell. Gangavstand til sentrum. Små rom. Gode senger. Nydelig frokost. Hyggelig personal. Fint lite basseng. Stille og rolig. Anbefales.
