Clean and very good condition room in a nice location (and neighbourhood) along Mermaid Beach, with 5 min walk to a cluster of cafe and restaurants. The room was a little tight for my side and 2 kids (1 single 1 double bed) but it was still comfortable and an affordable option for our Gold Coast vacation. Ample parking as there are only limited number of room in this boutique motel. 30min drive to theme parks and a stone's throw to KFC (drive in) and Domino's Pizza for easy meals. Staff were...

My family (6 adults and 2 children) have enjoyed our stay in Ultra boardbeach. All the rooms are new, clean and spacious. It has excellent view as we are staying on 29th floor. We felt safe as there are security system installed in the carpark and lifts so that only the tenants can access to the house. Nearby there are many restaurants and supermarkets and shopping centre - pacific fair (ard 10 mins walk). The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. We were glad we have booked this place.

We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment for six nights with our two adult/teen children ... and the accommodation was absolutely perfect! The apartment is spacious, allowing privacy for anyone who wants it, and it has a great kitchen and laundry-space and comfortable living areas. The balcony is fantastic, and the view out to sea (high enough to watch whales swim by) is exquisite. Be aware - in the main bedroom, you will wake with the sunrise, as the large windows/doors let all the light in. This...

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Gold Coast
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable times to visit the Gold Coast are in February, June, and August, when hotel prices tend to be lower. To fully appreciate the area's significant landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to explore the stunning beaches, indulge in family-friendly activities, enjoy diverse shopping and dining options, and experience the rich history and culture of the region. Visiting during these months not only ensures a budget-friendly trip but also offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for those looking to make the most of their holiday while keeping costs down.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For those seeking great savings on hotels in Gold Coast, Hotels.com offers a variety of options. Begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window section, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels. If your travel is imminent, check out the Last-Minute Deals section to find special offers close to your departure date. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature, a handy comparison tool within the app, helps travellers compare hotel prices and amenities, potentially alerting you if rooms become available or prices drop. Stay updated with notifications to ensure you seize your chance for a last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay in a Gold Coast hotel. If you're in search of a distinctive experience, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised touch and occasionally better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead you to a more advantageous rate.
Consider your location: Hotels nearer to the city centre usually command higher prices, but thanks to Gold Coast's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further out that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
