Booked a pricey room on the club floor, no complains about the room or the hotel it was excellent as expected by Shangri-la. My main issue is with the dining services which is shocking as I am frequent traveler all over Asia.
I wanted to complain to the hotel GM but was not available both the times I asked the staff!!
Breakfast - Service during breakfast was extremely slow and didnt really eat my usual breakfast for 2 days of my 5 days in this hotel. I usually like to have eggs for which there is a chef making eggs the way you want it, both times inspite of it being busy at 7am in the morning there is only a single chef to make eggs and his speed of making eggs was the slowest I have ever seen world over, even with 3-4 people ahead of me i couldnt get my eggs for over 20 minutes which is really pathetic. Tea and Coffee by the time you get it its not hot anymore.
Pancakes was not available they only make a few at a time and it vanishes so even my boy couldnt enjoy his favourite. Since we had tours booked we didnt have extra time for breakfast and this was a complete waste
Dinner buffet: Tried the dinner buffet one night at 730PM, surprisingly there was no Indian bread, like Naan or Roti available to eat with the Indian dishes there, Asked several staff including the manager of the restaurant they said no bread, eat with Rice, they are telling me how I should eat indian food. I registered a complaint but got no feedback, would like to hear back from the Hotel management !!
