Classic old hotel close to the train station (10 minute walk). Jet d'Eau Fountain and downtown shopping is approximately 1.5 miles so be prepared to get some exercise. Staff was helpful with recommendations and directions.

Great stay with view over the river
Our room was ready when we arrived which was 2 hours before the stated check-in time which was very convenient and perfect for us to get out exploring Geneva straight away. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and it was great to get a free map and travel cards - the public transport was really useful. The room was ideal for our one night stay. The room and the ensuite were clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a safe and the view across the river was great. It was quiet in the hotel which allowed us to relax after a long day exploring. The only cons were at first there was a slight smoking smell in the room but it did clear and the shower tray is quite shallow so it would flood if you were in there longer than a few minutes, but other than that we were really happy with our stay so thank you!

Basic but great location and view
It is a charming old building with French windows looking out on the river. It is convenient to the old city, museums and lots of restaurants. The reason I gave it a 3 is that the rooms are very basic and my bathroom was tiny. Still it worked out well for me since I was coming and going from the train station which is a walkable distance.

This was a charming, historical hotel. Our room had a beautiful river view with a balcony and a marble fireplace. The bathroom was tiny but that didn't matter to us at all. The front desk receptionist was wonderful; welcoming, knowledgeable, and with great suggestions local activities.
