Dishonest owner cancelled a paid for booking (2 weeks old) without informing me. Previous to my trip, I tried calling the property to comfirm what are its checkin hours and procedures since other sites say 3-6 pm, and could get no answer on the phone (and its voicemail is full). Tried twice again on day of trip during 3-6 pm period while on the way from Montreal (6 hour drive). Arrived at hotel at 630 due to accident delays, and owner/receptionist was not there. Met 2 others outside that he (Alex) also did this to, and they told me that he actually did it to 20 people and none of then were informed either. Owner was not there to take the heat. Was very difficult to find another room at last minute due to hotels being full due to an airshow that weekend. Not sure if I got a refund yet, and will be contacting Expedia support.
