The only option outside the park without having to travel another hour to the next lodging option. Simple accommodations. Restaurant food was surprisingly good. The best turnovers I have ever had. Cookies are fantastic. Wish I knew how amazing they were before we drove off. Would’ve gotten more to go.

Staff were excellent. Very welcoming. The restaurant food is great. They're very busy so as others say, can be a little slow but very polite and friendly. The rooms are a bit cramped and had a fusty smell but beds very comfortable. Only one cup in the room so glad we had our water bottles with us. Again, staff very helpful and friendly.

We loved the location! The gift shop was wonderful! The cookies and turnovers fantastic! We stayed in the hotel and there was a musty mildew smell near ice maker! The restaurant was in need of more staff. Took awhile to get our food!! However we would love to come back!

This was a cute little stay close enough to the Grand Canyon North Rim. All staff were friendly and helpful and the entire property felt like a great mountain getaway.

Nice location but we signed that we had no pets. We had a neighbor that not only brought a pet but left it alone in the room to bark for 3 hours when we were trying to sleep. Notified staff but ultimately nothing was done.

For those who like to be up and out early, be aware that there is no coffee or coffee makers and no refrigerators in the rooms, and nothing available until 7 am. So bring your own coffee and breakfast. The staff attitude was generally gruff, as if they were overworked, with a few friendly exceptions. Some of the dishes at the restaurant were good, others bad. You might also want to bring your own soap, as the bars provided were the most meager I have ever seen and provided almost no suds. The most wonderful thing about the property, however, was the fountain/water feature located among the cabins, which attracted large numbers of birds throughout the day. Thus, if you're a birder (which I am) I would highly recommend a visit. You can sit in the shade under a gazebo and watch. We saw about 30 species, including mountain specialties such as Williamson's Sapsucker, Clark's Nutcracker, Grace's Warbler, Evening Grosbeak, and many others. Several Kaibab Squirrels also visited.
