First & foremost I have to give high praise to the location of the hotel, it is about 10 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam. The No 22 bus stops about 50 metres from the hotels entrance and the bus goes directly into Centraal Station in Amsterdam in the heart of the city.
Our deluxe room was adequately sized, our bed mattress was quite firm and the pillows were goose feather filled, so quite soft. There was no water in the room, even although this came equiped with a fridge. There was a safe & Espresso Coffee maker but in this modern hotel there were no bedside tables.
The shower was amazing with Fayr toiletries, which are vegan and contained argan oil, so lovely to use.
The staff were fine. On arrival to the hotel, a staff member was counting his till and didnt acknowledge our presence for at least 5 minutes until another female colleague appeared to check us in.
The hotel is very secure and to enter elevators, floor access and room access can only be obtsined by swiping your digital room key.
My final bugbear, which truly needs addressed in the lack of allergen labelling in at breakfast & in the restaurant. As a pescatarian person with a dairy & soya intolerance, my options were very limited. The breakfast options were continental as expected but there was hot items, pancakes, hash browns, baked beans, scrambled & fried eggs, bacon & sausages.
There was one night when we ate in the Brasserie restaurant & the only thing available to me was fish & chips, not great.
