Nice place. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable and a great price. Just 5 minutes from the highway. I would stay here again.

The price was great. It was in a quiet area, off the beaten path. It was a bit run-down from the outside and the reception area was in the bar, but the rooms were very clean.

Don't call it an auberge! It's a microbrasserie...

Nice, quiet, rural location within a short drive of La Pocatiere, BUT when we arrived the manager (who the poor young guy who was running the bar had to track down by text) said we had booked a basement room, but he'd "do us the favour" of moving us into a ground-level room because we had a dog (for which we'd be charged extra). The booking site says nothing about basement rooms (and they're true basement rooms - underneath the brewery). It also says the auberge is pet-friendly. Turns out, this was just someone's idea of a way to drum up extra traffic to the property. The rooms appear to be a converted long-term care home, with emergency call speaker systems over the beds. There are no TVs or phones in the rooms, and guest services are "get them if you can." The manager advised me that the property was really principally a microbrewery, so I shouldn't be surprised that the room was nothing special. Ehh - it was cheap and quiet and had cute souvenir t-shirts. An okay stop just for sleeping, but best for 1 or 2 people without a pet.

    Canada’s best-kept secret . . .

It looked as though it was still under renovations, but given the pandemic and all, it was just fine. I’d stay there again, and just might some time next year. The area is probably Canada’s best-kept secret for bicycling around over flat roads on the south side of the St. Lawrence, just east of Quebec City. There are designated lanes along some of the roads. Be sure to take the smaller roads over to the St. Lawrence to get the full flavour of the smaller villages and beautiful homes along the shore. I didn’t try the motel’s brasserie (private brewery), but it certainly looked good with a variety on the menu. Yes, I can recommend it. And be sure to take your bicycle.

    Just ok

Difficult to find on gps. No receptionist at late hours. And no tv in room.
