Excellent location, lacks parking
The hotel is in easy walking distance of all tourist attractions, restaurants and night life! The rooms are very comfortable! The breakfast was amazing! They provide both buffet and a la carte options for the breakfast provided! Our only complaint is that there was a miscommunication regarding parking… there is none. The only parking available is at a garage a block away that charges 10 Euro/day. Make sure to check ahead if you need your car early, the garage may not be open!

Diamond of a hotel.
Great location, and a particular mention for the warm welcome and taking the time to talk ud through the highlights of Athens and marking points on a map. Rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. Location brilliant for good but not over touristy restaurants and for getting to the Acropolis and all major sights.

No Complaints
My room was reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and stocked with toiletries. The staff was very helpful and informative about many areas to explore within walking distance. This was a short, overnight stay on my way up to northern Greece. The late evening taxi ride from the airport to the hotel took about 30 min and cost 50 euros. The complimentary breakfast on the roof was perfect before heading out. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the homecooked omelette or explore the area much. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and slept well.

Absolutely love the Hotel and the staff's are lovely. The breakfast lady that makes sure everything is good. The only thing is the small elevator it's quite hard as we have a child but everyone is helpful and never had a problem during the stay. Very easy access to everything. I would stay here again.

The hotel is located in an area that at first look seems quite dodgy, but it was really very centrally situated to be so close to everything. Beds were comfortable, staff was excellent and very helpful. Room was clean but small.

8/10 Very good

The room was more confined than we expected, with the online photos being somewhat misleading. While the room served its purpose, we encountered a few issues. The air conditioning unit leaked consistently, likely due to a clogged condensation line, and the shower was quite constricting, failing to contain overspray, which made the rest of the bathroom wet. On the positive side, the bed and pillows were unexpectedly comfortable. The breakfast staff was excellent, and the made-to-order food was a highlight. The surrounding area was also very enlightening, contributing to an overall memorable experience in a positive way.

The hotel is basically a hole in the wall. There are 2 flights of stairs to climb to get to the lobby, but there is an elevator to the floors. You have to open the door to get in the elevator. It's a short walk to the Monasteriki subway stop. GPS failed me, but to get the hotel, face the Roman Agora, and ho left to thr dead end.The room was comfortable with good AC. It's close to The Parthenon.

Great location and good basic accommodation
A few nights in Athens on the way to Rhodes. Close to the main market in old Athens so convenient. Also able to walk to the acropolis and museums. Good basic guest hotel in old building. Remember not to flush your toilet paper!! Lots of good restaurants and shopping close by.

Athens Market Portrait is a great place to stay. Walkable to everything....sites to see, restaurants and all the shopping you would want. The staff was very caring and made sure my stay was very comfortable. They called taxis for me and even had a to go breakfast bag ready when I had a very early flight out! Being a solo traveller its very important that I feel safe where i am staying and I was. Thank you ( V and G) for everything you did! I will definately be back!
