I was very comfortable and felt very secure in this hotel. The food was excellent and great central location. Just 15 minutes by taxi from Airport ( approx $10 )

Very good value, for a downtown grand hotel
This hotel has a long history, so it shows its age a bit. Its like a trip back to a different time when people used to get dressed up to fly on a plane or stay in a nice hotel. You are in the heart of downtown in a big comfortable room. You get a great buffet breakfast with a variety of local and international dishes in a beautiful dining room. The free airport shuttle should be enough to convince you to stay here. If you take it both ways, it saves you at least 60K COP over taking an UBER. You get all this for less than I pay at the travel lodge back home in Canada. A hotel like this in Canada would quite easily be almost triple the price.
