Overlooking the cricket ground, Travelodge was convenient to where our van was being worked on and to cycle and walking trails around the city.

It was ok spent 1 night and it served it's purpose. Pricy for the area. Wouldhave appreciate some tissues and a plastic bag for laundry.

Cant review this property as we were moved to a different property which we didnt book as our room had been given to someone else. Arrived late in the evening only to be told they had no room not ideal when travelling with two young children one was 4. Had booked a hotel with food and drink facilities and breakfast included the hotel we were moved to had none of this just somewhere to sleep. Not impressed and now waiting for a refund.

My room was comfortable and quiet. I was a little disappointed to find that Wifi was only free for 30 minutes, especially as there are hotels nearby with completely free Wifi. It was also a little inconvenient that the kitchen was not open so there was no hot food.

It was accessible from the city centre, clean and tidy, and staff were very helpful. I didn't like the fact that I had to pay for internet access and that 30 minutes was used up even when I wasn't online. A little disappointing when staying for business.

2/10 Poor

We requested an accessible room making it clear that we were using a mobility scooter during our stay. Room 317 on the third floor was difficult and inconvenient to get to through several heavy fire doors, a tight and difficult turn into the room immediately after a fire door. Even with the help of a carer, also with limited mobility, it was a very time consuming and energy draining exercise. The 'accessible room' did not have any mobility aids. The shower could not be used and when going for breakfast we had to negotiate between and move bedding trollies about. In the event of a fire or other emergency it would have been impossible to evacuate as the lifts cannot be used. Other guests would also be at risk when being held up by a mobility scooter in the corridor trying to get out. The so called meal deal was impossible in practice to get, even though it was specifically requested to start. The staff member simply put it down to Corporate manipulation and misleading ads.

Exactly what you expect from a travelodge, ideal location if you don’t want to be in the city centre traffic
