Great stay. Go Buckeyes.
Very convenient location, and had a wonderful first stay in the windy city. Many reviews mention the fire station across the street, but we only heard one or two sirens at night, it really wasn't that bad - maybe we got lucky.
The only negative worth mentioning is mostly personal preference: our sink faucet was set so far back on the counter that it was difficult to wash our hands. They should explore replacing these short-armed faucets so the water is not right up against the back of the sinks.
I was also over-charged for the valet (which was very convenient, by the way), but the staff quickly issued me a refund for the difference. Be sure to check your final bill at check-out.

In general, it was very good. We were disappointed that the property had neither a restaurant nor a bar. However, the morning breakfasts were excellent.

Friendly & clean.
Hotel was clean & check-in staff was super friendly & accommodating. Location was great. Breakfast was okay but the breakfast staff was super friendly. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the show was terrible. Nice & clean room!

Best staff and great rooms.
We received the best service at this hotel! Everyone from front desk staff to valet to staff in the breakfast area was amazing - friendly and helpful. There’s a busy firehouse across the street. It didn’t bother us but may bother some. The hotel and staff made up for it. Well done, Fairfield Inn!

The hotel itself is in a great location for walking to most of the Chicago sightseeing attractions. The staff is among the best I’ve encountered at a hotel. The breakfast staff especially. Fannie & Javier at the breakfast area are particularly friendly!

Perfect location for exploring the downtown area. Room was comfortable. Some points to improve upon:
- Chair in the room was quite old.
- When the room is booked for 3 people it would be useful to have the coffee making material in the room for as many people instead of just 2.

Need better signs for parking/valet. We couldn't figure out where to temporarily park to check in and find out where parking was. The alley between the 2 hotels where the valet is at is only marked for the Aloft. We ended up just pulling in there and then felt like we had to pay for valet since we were already there and had no where else to go to unload our car with 3 little children.
