I hope you can remodel the rooms
Paint on walls, ceiling, doors, baseboard and trim was very bad. I found small spiders between the blankets and in the bathroom. the tub is in poor condition The TV programming never worked, the person at the desk and the person who wanted to help us were nice but it never worked. The outside is very nice. But the rooms are very bad.

Would recommend!
Staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the stay. A cute and peaceful resort to stay at. Brought my puppy and they were very accomodating. Only reason for less than 5 stars was that there was no elevator and the place could use a little renovating, which it looks like they're starting to do.

Older and outdated, but quiet.
It's a nice little retreat outside Vegas. It's older and there is no elevator for the upper floors. Bathroom was tiny and very outdated, even with some new paint. The shower was cold and wouldn't warm up. Found a few spiders in our room also. But it wasn't terrible.

Extremely friendly staff. I was travelling with my 5 month old puppy and they were very accommodating for our needs. We could even catch a meal outside the restaurant together

The Nightmare on Charleston Peak!
What a nightmare! Room smelled like pet urine. Heat barely worked (took 24 hours to warm up). TV didn't work. No hot water. No room service. Room tilted - luggage rolled to other side of room. Bar tender made fun of drinks and then berated me for not tipping enough. Previous occupant beer bottle on balcony. Creepy empty stolen suitcase on SW corner of property. After complaining, was offered $25 food voucher, which I declined and checked out. Called hotel manager and was told he was busy and would call me back - he never did. This is what happens when there's no competition. I'll never step foot on this property again.

A Haunted Retreat at Nevada
We decided to finally book a room before Thanksgiving at this retreat at Mt. Charleston. And my spouse and I usually like stopping by just to get some tea and snacks. When we tried to stay a few days ago the internet was out. So we had to return the next day. Our room was on the second floor and it seemed a bit creepy. If you catch my drift. We invited our family to partake in the Thanksgiving dinner. They also have Christmas dinner too. The bear in the lobby has its paws chopped off. we recommend you stay if you need a place to simply crash. Had I not moved my finger out of the way my spouse almost chopped off my finger off while opening and closing the window. there weren't any alarm clocks in the room either.

Dog's first vacation was a hit!
The team at the Retreat on Charleston Peak was amazing. Victor was especially attentive to all of our needs. We noticed it was very dog friendly and everyone knew our Mastiff, GiGi by the end.

Infested with spiders
The front desk staff was excellent and honestly the only reason I didn’t rate this a 1-star review. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay because the rooms were infested with spiders. Sadly, I’m not exaggerating. We booked two deluxe rooms with balconies, and it seems the balconies might have contributed to the problem. Upon entering and trying to settle in, we immediately spotted three spiders and a stink bug crawling on the walls and ceiling in one room. When I checked my daughter’s room, I found cob webs, six spiders on the walls, ceiling, and even crawling out from behind the headboard. The hotel has no elevators, and getting to the third floor was confusing. You have to use what looks like an emergency staircase at the end of the hall. To make matters worse, there’s no staff to help carry bags. The rooms themselves were in poor condition, with cracks in the flooring, walls, and baseboards, covered by multiple coats of poorly applied paint in an attempt to make the rooms look presentable. Unfortunately, it didn’t work—the rooms felt more like a budget motel than a property worth $175 per night. Ultimately, we decided to drive home rather than stay in rooms we would be sharing with spiders and bugs. It was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. They claim to be adding a pool and spa to enhance the experience. I doubt that will help. They might want to start by tearing it down and building it over again.

Very pleasant staff
Staff was very courteous, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel itself needs work, big pot holes in driveway and parking lot, lobby was dusty , doors in room need repainting , bathroom sink had cracks and no stopper . Electrical outlet in room had no cover, Beds were not that comfortable. Hotel needs landscape maintenance. With some TLC could be a great place , nice escape ,good location to get out of town.

2/10 Poor

Just plain nasty
The common areas are decent. But the rooms are just gross. The pictures online are terribly misleading. The furniture, base boards, walls and beds are very aged and beat up. Rooms with carpets are foul. Dirty with food and grossness around the edges of the wall. The mattresses had urine and blood stains. There was vomit on the wall in the bathroom. The phone was full of dust and food. They said they were 100% full but manager found another room without carpeting. It was a bit better but still pretty bad. It’s a lovely location but owners just don’t take pride in the place. Really sad. Do not recommend staying here.
