Buffet breakfast was mediocre; much inferior to previous at the hotel. We were advised not to order a la carte because the kitchen was so backed up with room service orders.

One night stay is enough to miss the old Mandarin
No minibars in rooms and poor buffet breakfast doesn't allow me to classifie this hotel as 5-star hotel.

Mediocre hotel at luxury prices
The hotel had its ups and downs. The lowest point was that the crib we requested had a piece of metal sticking out into the sleeping area and was obviously dangerous. The temperature in the room also seemed to rarely match the thermostat as we alternated between sweating and freezing. But the staff were fabulous and the indoor pool was my son’s favorite part of the trip.

The room is nice, good bed and friendly staff but It did not feel like a five star luxury hotel.
- I sent a messenger prior to arrival asking if there were any renovations, they answered that the spa on the second floor was under renovation. But there was construction on the same floor and on the floor above us. We were waken up by hammering and drilling every morning. They offered to waive the cancelation fee but we could find a last minute hotel in the area so had to stay.
- At breakfast they informed us that the kitchen was busy with room service so our only option was the buffet.. Asked for a green juice or smoothie they said they don’t serve anything healthy (exact words). There main restaurant was close both Sunday and Monday. We had to have breakfast and dinner elsewhere.
- The lobby and bar are the same area two of the four nights there were loud parties, I don’t know why Expedia recommends it as a family hotel, the only other area you can gather in is a beautifully courtyard that has has traffic noise from the highway.
- They dont have any of the amenities or special details you expect from a luxury five star hotel, no turn down service or chocolate in your pillow, there is no attention to detail. The concierge was nice but not Very helpful.
- A thing I did like was they have free bikes you can use that was nice. They also have free coffee to take with you.

Ordered room service and for this to be a 5 star hotel, the food was sub par. We didnt eat it. Spa service was unavailable. Other than that room was nice and clean.

the check-out was probably the worst experience I have had at a hotel. I asked twice for the extension to 1pm to check out and every time was told no but no explanation was given. I travel bicoastal and overseas all throughout the year and never has a hotel not given an explanation as to why a late checkout could not occur. I also was apart of a wedding which over 20-30 rooms were filled with wedding guests and the wedding party. so attempting to check out as fast as 11am was not possible given all of the festivities. this occurred twice even when I extended my stay another night.
