Room layout needs modification
The remodeled hotel has great customer service and very clean. The layout of the superior double room is really poorly done. The bathroom is small and the sink has very little to no counter space. Double occupancy requires each individual to take their toiletries with them every time of use. Very little space for storage or baggeage.

The sensor activated room thermostat makes the guest suffer an inappropriate temperature for a prolonged time before the desired temp is reached and would be nice to adjust earlier then check in

The room was TERRIBLE! The lobby was beautiful plus location was great. BUT when we got to our room it was such a disappointment. The room was small, which we expect for DC. The big surprise was when we opened the curtains (which covered the entire length of the room) to reveal a wall. There was a tiny window in one corner. The heating alternated with AC all night (despite snowing outside), so we were either freezing or boiling. Not a restful night.

Premium location and best deal on a king suite
Such a beautiful view! The hotel is decorated in such a beautiful fashion, the room is clean with great amenities, staff are extremely friendly and the spa is exceptional
I’d say do your research about parking - they have a valet that is pricey in my opinion.

Barely Functional room
The location was the only good thing about this hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom lay out is strange and not really functional. There is a huge shower that has frosted glass into the main room so guest can see you showering. The sink is tiny with no space to put any toiletries. One tiny soap bar an inch big was all that was included. Also toilet is super low to the ground. Wallpaper borders on being inappropriate. And no bathroom fan which seems pretty odd.

Cool Rooms
This was our second stay at Hotel W. The rooms are modern with cool lighting. Lovely property. Our only complaint is that one of our rooms was cleaned while the other was not.

Great Hotel! Beware Outrageous Rooftop Drink $!
It was just a one night stay in DC for dinner at Joe's Seafood and brunch at Old Ebbitt's. The girlfriend had stayed at THW previously and said we should try it again. Glad we did! The Hotels.com rate was the cheapest we found, even cheaper than the hotel's website. The Standard King was perfect for just one night. Check-in and out were quick. Valet was prompt. My only shock was the tab at the rooftop VUE restaurant for two dirty Martinis and two Cosmos: $121! I've dine at fine places around the world and have never been charged that much for cocktails. Yes, you're paying for the view, but that's outrageous.
