We had a great trip. Santa Claus Village is an amazing experience for all ages. Prices are high but not unexpected. Food choice in restaurants is not varied. Most restaurants offer similar options

I would suggest going to Rovaniemi from last week of November or with a good forecast for snow. Most of the activities will be much better with snow.

It is a magical place where my son will be studying and living. People connect with nature the way no one does. Coffee is always around the corner! Love it

I would suggest researching activities before the holiday, there are excursions but once I search myself of activities and locations I saved a lot, gas stations are around every hour drive so fule often and always have car headlights on, it's law.

We visited Santa's village & it's magical. But while crossing a street to the city center, there's a couple of pick pockets that opened my backpack, white man & Indian woman. I turned around just in time & caught them in the act. She ran, he denied.

Small city though not all people speak good English. Good environment. No much things to see around but Aurora Borealis is a must to look forward to.

Lovely city with beautiful lights and Christmas spirit. Enjoyed our time here.
"The resort was very pretty and clean, and the cabins were incredible. The included breakfast was international and included lots of different options. Make sure you have a car though. Otherwise, you'll have to take a taxi everywhere. You can not walk to attractions."
"Loved the location in the forest of a ski resort in summer. The roof terrace view is panoramic revealing all the fells around Rovaniemi. The nature trails surrounding the hotel are wonderful. The food was excellent. The sauna in our room was outstanding along with the view from the room over the local forest. Would do it again one day though it is a long way from Australia. At the end of fourteen self driving around Finnmark and Sapmi it was an excellent choice on our journey back to Kirkenes. We loved northern Finland.
The staff made a worthwhile and enjoyable stay."
