The streetcar use to be free but they have extended the route so now you have to pay. No biggy. The area around the dome is a little dodgy but once you get to the theatre district it definitely gets better. Breweries and restaurants abound.

I love Tacoma. I love the fact that they've saved so many of their beautiful historic buildings downtown makes it unique. It's very walkable.

Tacoma like any other cities has its bad areas but it doesn't mean you shouldn't visit. It has some beautiful places to visit as well. This hotel just happens to be near a bad area but we never felt unsafe.

It was cleaner than I remember. Unfortunately the light rail isn't aval after the concerts at the dome on weekdays. Thank goodness it was not raining and our hotel was within walking distance.
"Parking is TIGHT at night. Needing to shorten my reservation, the staff was super accommodating. Even helped fix it with Expedia. TY!!! The room was clean, spacious, laundry on site was a big help too. A big family had taken over the pool and were drinking in there, but I only looked to see the amenities. The exercise room looked decent. 24-hour lobby coffee and iced water. "Breakfast" looked decent. They have a nice big lobby... with never ending FOX News for better or worse."
"The owners and staff were outstanding. Would have preferred not to have shared a bathroom, however, it was workable. Would definitely come back for another stay. "
