Mixed feelings...
The reason this review is mixed is bc a reservation was made in error for this hotel. Initially hotel refused to cancel reservation after being informed it was made in error. However, after multiple contacts back and forth the reservation was cancelled by the hotel and $$$ refunded per my request.

Mountain Cabin in town.
The room was nice and clean. Very quiet, and the room was roomy. Feels like a cabin in the woods. Very relaxing.

New management is doing a great job fixing this place up! Comfortable, clean and really starting to look nice. Rooms have refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and there’s a convenience store close by so if you don’t feel like going out to eat, you can easily prep stuff in the room.

The shower head was huge and offered a terrific hot shower. However, there were no shower caps available, so if you don't want to get your hair wet, wrap a towel around it and enjoy.

During my first stay a week ago, i was in the back, bottom floor. Pet hairs and dirty floors. Also, with no gutter on the upper roof, my roof was like water torture dripping on it even with dew. It was quiet and otherwise nice. This stay i was in room 6. The sink did not drain. I removed the trap under the sink and cleared it, but there was a worse plug in the wall portion pipe. The maid had to know that when/if she cleaned the sink. Also the shower handle falls off when using it. Otherwise the room was nice. I can see you are making improvements so i thought i would make these suggestions.

It was very nice for the lodge staff to leave me a key on the front door for my late check-in and then I left a special ring of mine in my room and the cleaning lady gave it to the front desk! I was ecstatic to receive a text informing me not only that they found it but that they would mail it to me! Now that is excellent service and not easy to find. I’d stay there again!! I value their integrity!!

Uncomfortable Night
We checked in around 8 p.m. Our keys were wrapped in paper taped to the office door. There was no AC or fan in the room. Rooms do not come with AC per owners. I was not aware of this when booking the room. We had to sleep with the windows open to cool off. I felt very unsafe and will never stay there in the future. If you call the office after 10 p.m. there is no one to return your call.

Clean, Neat, & Comfortable
Nice room, comfortable bed, clean and neat. Room had a fridge, microwave, and Keurig with coffee pods. Unfortunately there was a loud family staying in a nearby room that was shouting and playing loud music for a few hours at night, but that's not the lodge's fault. There were woods in the back with a nice trail. Overall, it was very good and a decent value. I would stay there again.

The unit that I was in was recently updated and is lovely. The unit had a boutique northwoods feel with knotty pine walls and new vinyl plank flooring and lovely roller shade window coverings. The only issue we had is that the Wi-Fi didn’t extend to our unit - but we were here in the mountains to disconnect.
