I was unable to enjoy the stay due to covid travel restrictions. I understand a strict cancellation policy but I had hoped for a partial credit, or at least a discount on a future stay. They took my money for the entire stay and I was left with nothing.
If u like to pay $500 /night to sleep in an actual tent, while getting violated by mosquitoes, getting ready w/ the brightest bulb being that of a nightlight, (had to get ready in friends room next door at casa malca where they have proper lighting), walking barefoot outside on rocks to go to the bathroom/shower, then this hotel is for u. Also don’t leave ur things in the bathroom b/c the rain will ruin it, along with soggy TP. My experience was anything but what I’d expect from a 4 star hotel, from the moment I checked in w/the lady at the front desk. The people in front of me were complaining how rude she was because she was handling a phone call, (completely taking her time), while a line of people waited to be checked in. I didn’t understand his frustration, (thought she was just busy), until it was my turn. I stood in front of her while she fumbled around doing “other duties,” literally ignoring the fact that we were in front of her for 20 minutes. Zero urgency in anything she was doing, almost as if she was taking her time. However my tipping point was when I almost got ran over while riding their shady bike because the chain fell off, (while peddling), causing my breaks to not work while heading directly into a cluster f*k of traffic. I was told on several occasions by the manager that he was going to figure out a refund, (these were not my only issues), with Expedia until the day I left for the airport. Once home, I get an email stating they will not refund me.
Nomade was such an amazing experience ! I have nothing negative to say about our stay. The whole experience was phenomenal, The food was amazing the service was also great in a room which was the Arena Suite was to die for. Walking right out to the beach. Such a great hotel ! I will definitely be back . A big thank you to Enrique at Nomade for taking care of our EVERY need. He made our stay even better . Thank you Nomade for having us . We will definitely be back .
Nomade is a beautiful property to stay at. The food and drinks are delicious. The rooms are clean. The experience is like other places in Tulum with a jungle feel to it. I got a tent and I wouldn't recommend anyone to get that unless you want to sleep with insects. Asked for an upgrade with a fee every day, but was ignored. Every night, I got bit all over my body, while sleeping. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and was given repellent, but still no upgrade. The hotel was not full, so I'd definitely only complain about the staff ignoring my needs. Would be willing to try it again as long as I am not in a tent.
The room had a leak, the service was very bad, we were waiting more than four hours toilet paper
The staff was very rude. The guy at the front desk took over 45 mins to check us in when their was nobody at the hotel. From their he lost our reservation and then tried to downgrade us to the tent when we paid for a suite.when we asked to speak to a manager or anyone else he refused. Overall I would not stay at nomade again
Fantastic hotel, fantastic food and tastes, rooms beautiful but those rooms that are located in front street (was my case) the noise are terrible, cars, trucks, people loudly etc. It’s is a very expensive hotel and in that case this situation are unacceptable. Two rooms that was full paid by two couples of friends the hotel doesn’t refund any coin (covid 19), I understand policies but was out of hand situation... rest was amazing.
This was an ok stay. The service was not good. Right from the start we had no hot water, we were told we had free breakfast but then they said we didn’t because we booked through orbitz and not through them directly. So they basically said not to book through orbitz. The couple that was traveling with us had free breakfast because they booked direct with the hotel. House cleaning wasn’t that great. Most of the help couldn’t speak any English. Will not return to this hotel.
Very cool hotel. Staff is amazing and very accommodating. We stayed in the deluxe tent and absolutely loved it. The only thing we found is it can be very dark at night while trying to get ready, especially my girlfriend. Other than that perfection!
We had a Great Experience - and we will recommend it to all friends and realated . Moaz alhalabi
