My newest Favorite hotel in Costa Rica

Outstanding stay....Fantastic View from the room, Abundant wildlife (some of whom were not shy at all about coming right up to our patio), a free nature tour in the morning (well worth an optional tip to the guide), very good food in the restaurant, an unexpected bonus in that there is a pool and (rather large) jacuzzi, and most of all, the staff were without exception helpful, friendly, professional and kind!

    Great location

Excellent hotel surrounded by a huge private park. Lots of private hiking trails and wildlife. It’s out there off the beaten which only adds to the charm. The photos do not do it justice. Would definitely recommend.

    Comfort in the Rainforest

Grounds and hotel are beautiful! Exceeded expectations. Bit rough drive coming in for the last two miles or so but that is all that we had issue with. Trails are great. We saw several different large birds, monkeys swinging above, several different marsupials and even a sloth. Highly recommend the Arenal Observatory Lodge & Spa. A+

End of the world with the best views!

We loved the place. The views are fantastic, the room with a private balcony overlooking the jungle, the wonderful restaurant...could go on and on. Perhaps the best part is that it's at the very end of the road, a bit of a trek getting there but once you're in you don't need to go anywhere else, all the trails are on the property. Absolutely great stay.

There were lots of walks that you could do right from the property. The grounds were beautiful and well taken care of and best of all they were no crowds. We were able to see wildlife while walking the path

    Simply off the grid feel

Beautiful escape from the world surrounded by the sounds of nature and a giant volcano. All excursions are off site so you do need a car or taxi which wasn’t a problem. There is one restaurant that offers free breakfast. Lunch and dinner must pay. So if you need more variety you’ll need to go off site. Sleeping is something to look forward to as the sounds of nature provide a relaxing white noise that I found very relaxing.

    Amazing property to stay

This is a magnificent 340-acre property with limitless beauty, nature, and probably the friendliest most hospitable staff we've ever encountered. The rooms are a little dated (early 2000s) but still confortable. I felt like we were staying in the national park itself
