6/10 Good

Not so great for couples in August…
Our stay was OK. For some people it might be great: party by night, then sleeping in the morning. Great pool for kids… which made it not so great for relaxing couple time!… We were hoping there would be more Hot Spring pools, small ones, where couples could get away and have some time, then come back and join the party, the noise, the TVs. however, there was only the one hot pool with the sushi bar, and one other Hot Springs pool,(they said two but I think one was closed??) in which you could also hear lots of noise. So if that’s what you’re looking for, the place is great. But if you want a relaxing, peaceful time, especially as a couple, this probably is not it. At least not in August. Breakfast buffet was awesome. It was clean and we were very grateful for that.

Absolutely Recommend
Wonderful stay. Love the personal touches with notes in the room. Wine when we arrived and little gift when we left. Breakfast buffet was legit. Had everything, delicious warm and fresh food - not just a silly continental like most places. Well worth every penny.

The facilities are great and the food-cost as well, but the drinks are ridiculously expensives and are actually not good.

The service is excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular. The whole resort was beautiful with all the flowers and plants. The room is spacious, and the bathroom even has plant growing. The only complain it that the internet is kind of slow.

8/10 Very good

The hotel was gorgeous had amazing views but no transportation to the town and taxis were a little pricey to get to town and back. The food was very limited choices and pricey and could use better customer service but Dylan did an amazing job and was really sweet and welcoming!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was super clean, convenient, accommodating, looked exactly like the pictures, and had great AC. The view from both our room and the restaurant was gorgeous and the area felt so safe. It felt like a private bungalow and had beautiful spots to explore on the resort such as the alligator lagoon, swim up pool bar, hot springs, hidden streams, etc. The breakfast buffet was delicious and clean with ready to order omelets and fresh squeezed juices. It can be a lengthy stroll from your suite to the lobby but they have a shuttle or a golf cart that will pick you up from your room. We were telling reception about our late flight home and they sent a golf cart to pick us up at 2AM without us asking. They also gifted us a free dinner with appetizers, drinks, dinner, and dessert on our last night when we were making conversation in the lobby. They made us feel so welcome, taken care of, and spoke English to help us learners feel more at ease. We absolutely loved it here.

Great hotel with volcano views!
We stayed at Arenal Manoa for 6 days. The property is beautiful, landscaping is really great, the service is excellent and everyone is very kind. The rooms are large, comfortable and have everything you need. The pool area is also pretty and relaxing. The location is great and it's very close to all the attractions in the area - the front desk can also book them for you. There are hot springs at the hotel and nica spa. Breakfast is really nice, fresh and healthy. For lunch and dinner - The food at the restaurant is fine, not exceptional and it is very expensive (New York prices) - there are many other options around the hotel to check out. Skip the desserts, I tried all of them, they're not good. If you book a tour at the front desk they ask you if you want to add a tip. This tip doesn't go to your tour-guide, not sure where it goes, but not to the tour-guide. If you want to tip your tour guide (you should) then do it in cash. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel, we had a great time!
