Beautiful hotel some kinks
The place is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. My only complaint is they have a dog in the lobby that barked incessantly and we had a hard time hearing the woman at the desk-stressful. Also we were trying ahead of time to schedule a large luncheon and the woman in charge of it took days to finally get back to us. My sisters room did not have hot water.

Lovely atmosphere
We stay here a lot when in town to visit family and love this hotel and its unique atmosphere. We are giving it a 4/5 stars for this trip because we asked for an extra blanket and the front desk acted very bitter towards us about it and made us come downstairs to get it. Then we had room service delivered for dinner one evening and the young man bringing it to our room was complaining the whole time about how much he doesn’t like his job.

Beautiful hotel steeped in History. Friendly staff. Will definitely be making a return visit. We arrived just in time for the haunted tour on Friday evening and this was a fun kick-off to a great weekend stay.

Lovely old hotel. Room was okay, but nothing special and the bed was not especially comfortable. The biggest issue was that most of the staff was inattentive and didn't bother to even acknowledge our presence. We walked into the bar, speakeasy, and the restaurant. We left the speakeasy without even ordering because we were completely ignored and felt out of place by the lack of acknowledgement. The best employee we encountered was the trainee bartender at the bar. In the morning, I had to leave without any breakfast. First, we waited forever on menus(which was pretty limited and didn't even include eggs and bacon), only to be completely ignored for orders or even coffee! They were not busy, so no real excuse for this happening. I was genuinely excited to stay here only to be pretty darn disappointed. Don't think I'd bother staying at this hotel in the future.

This place was way better than I thought it would be. Being the oldest hotel in West Virginia. Beautiful, clean, nice rooms, staff was so nice. There's a very nice bar. Went for a ghost tour. Overall 10 out of 10.

Hotel was good. Restaurant...not so much. Little overpriced and service a little slow. We were told no bread available with dinner.

6/10 Good

Television didn't work. Contacted front desk and was told to unplug and plug it back in and that should resolve the issue. It did not. My parties dinners were less than amazing. My mashed potatoes were warm at best. For the prices it was less than expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the property. It was veryperiod correct.

Our stay at The Blennerhassett Hotel was nothing short of magical! The historic charm of this beautiful hotel is perfectly paired with modern comforts, making it a cozy and welcoming retreat. My daughter was especially thrilled by the abundance of dogs that seemed just as happy to be there as their owners—definitely a highlight for her! We also had the pleasure of visiting the Blennerhassett Mansion by candlelight, which was a truly unique and enchanting experience. The staff was friendly, the ambiance was lovely, and the location is perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommend for families and history lovers alike!

Great old historic building, which has been beautifully restored. Everything was done well. Our room was large, beautifully furnished, and immaculate. The public areas were very nicely decorated for Fall. Bathroom was somewhat small, but very nice, and the towels and toiletries were first class. Every staff member went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Easy parking was in an adjacent lot, just a short walk away.
