Check in was a breeze, and the guy on reception was very friendly. We used 2 rooms, both on the first floor, and both facing the river. We had rooms 104 and 105. The good points about the rooms and the hotel in general is that it is nice and clean. The Breakfast is superb, with sliced meats and cheeses, and also yogurt and fruit juices along with freshly boiled eggs and the tastiest scrambled eggs I have ever had. there is a largish car park right outside the hotel. The hotel is old, and is dated (in a nice way), and there is not a square angle anywhere, the floors are out of level, as are the ceilings. The rooms do need to be upgraded, but please do not think that they are bad. The beds were comfortable and both my Wife and I and my Son and his Fiancee slept well. My advice would be to take some earplugs, because you can hear traffic going past and the trains running behind the hotel. We paid £300 for 2 rooms for 3 nights including Breakfast, and that is a bargain.
