Kalispell Hotel
A charming old hotel in the center of Kalispell.

Lived that ur was downtown close to restaurants and shopping. Only complaint is that the air conditioner unit was still in the window so allowed for more street traffic noise.

Incredibly rude staff. Front desk staff did not greet me, they grimaced and asked for my name. The rooms were freezing. Window A/C units like you use at home were still in the window being late October in Montana! The units were not weather proofed and we had difficulty getting the heat to work. We woke up freezing at 2 am. To boot the hotel is on main Street which is also the interstate route to whitefish. It was incedibl loud hearing cars drag race up and down the strip well past midnight. You will also hear semi truck traffic all night. Unimpressed with every aspect of the stay

The hotel, itself is nice. The single rooms are very small though and if you are going to stay here, ask about a room not facing the main road as you hear everything.

The “standard” room is extremely small with little room to walk around the bed. The hotel is well maintained.

The hotel is very beautiful and definitely within my definition of a boutique hotel. When you walk in reception area and dining area are updated, but in keeping with the time of the hotel (early 1900's). The staff is extremely friendly and when we checked in we were told that breakfast was homemade in the morning. There are stairs and one elevator (which is extremely slow). Our room was a good size with a window unit for fan and cooling. The rooms didn't necessarily match (paint, style, and decorations) with the rest of the hotel which was disappointing, but the room was clean and had what we needed. The breakfast was indeed homemade. I imagined a bunch of moms in the back baking for everyone. It was really good and I was impressed. They provide a voucher for parking in the lot behind the building and we were about 35 minutes from Glacier. We only stayed 2 nights on our return from Banff, but it was nice.

The staff was very helpful and the location was close to a variety of dining an drinking options. If you're there to visit GNP, getting out of town is quick and easy. The breakfast was very good, not to often do you find a place with sour cream coffee cake, scones, and potato crust quiche made in house! This is an older hotel with a bit tighter rooms but there was enough room for 2 decent sized suitcases, a cooler, and a couple tote bags. We had what they call the Glacier King, the smallest of the room options I believe. The shower (at least in our room) was pretty small, not the smallest I've used but it was tight. The only reason I didn't rate 5* overall was the elevator is extremely slow, taking the stairs is significantly quicker. Also there is not a publicly accessible ice maker. If you need ice you have to have the front desk fetch it for you. Neither of these are a huge deal but when you're topping off a cooler and water bottles 1-2 times a day it is a bit of a hassle.

The staff where friendly and helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal! All homemade and so delicious. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were by the street, so some street noise. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

A lovely, historic hotel. Nicely decorated and renovated in the heart of Kalispell. A great breakfast daily ...as well as cookies and popcorn in the afternoon were delightful. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was small but adequate. Plenty of comfortable seating in the lobby for reading, visiting. Gave the place a bit of a spacious B&B vibe. Several good dining options within walking distance. Only drawback was noise from trucks that are driven "with gusto" down main street in the evening...especially Friday night. We used the room a/c fan to muffle outdoor sounds and slept fine. It didn't seem to go late into the night.

Nicely renovated classic hotel from the early 20th century. Air conditioning system was substandard for the price of the room. Great breakfast

Great Historic Hotel!
We loved this historic hotel. The rooms were a little small but were very clean - great towels! The best part was the breakfast - amazing homemade scones and bread - even quiche to warm up! The gal checking us in and out was wonderful (even if we couldn't get our AAA discount) - when leaving she gave us a list of things to do in Glacier and they were perfect - Thank you!!

This is an expensive hotel for a town so small as Kalispell. The television didn't work, and I had to watch the presidential debates on an ipad. I would not stay at this hotel again.
