Traveling around AUS on holiday, stayed at 63 hotels so far.
This one was by far the worst in regard to: Check-in - hoat was kind but process was horrible. Check-in instructions say to check-in by 9pm. We checked in around 5:30pm, no host on site, had to call a number posted on the door. Had to call 3 times to get though. Hoat asked a bunch of questions then directed me to a key lockbox by the reception, then there was no key for my assigned room. Host had to get off the phone and show up in person to get me a key.
Got in the room, absolutely no toilet paper, no bath towels and room hadn't been cleaned in some time. There was a heavy layer of dirt on the blanket and sheets, parts of dead bugs on the bed, dirt on the table and end tables, dirt on the bathroom sink and sand all over the place.
The fidge/freezer didnt work while we were there and our food spoiled.
The worst part, 4 dead roaches. 2 were next to the bed, one was on the bed and one had already been partially eaten by something in the bathroom. All of them had cleary been dead for awhile...a spot check for cleanliness of the room would have avoided this.
There was a photo on the floor that teipped me as I walked in the room.
There was a huge hole cut in the wall ahove thw cabinet.
Overall it seems this room was possibly under construction and hadnt been cleaned or used or even stocked for supplies in some time.
Absolutely the worst hotel/motel I have experienced in my travels so far through 6 states.
